General / Off-Topic Discord on Android?

Hi there,

first of all: I didn't know where to post this thread. Mods, if you think there's a better sub-forum for that kind of stuff, please move it.

Ok, my question is: a lot of you people out there seem to be using Discord for game communications. Is anyone of you using Discord on an Android device - and do you have any advice on that?
Basically, I'd like to have a second independent screen - and being able to use the handsfree audio on my phone wouldn't hurt, either.

It was working for me, then I uninstalled it and now I can't reinstall because it says that my device is incompatible.
It seemed to work fine when I did have it installed though.

Before I got my headset I used discord on my ipad or galaxy s5 to talk to my friends. Now with a headset I still run discord on both but predominantly on my phone. I've had no issues with running it on both, I find it easier than having to tab out. I can quickly text back a reply without difficultly.

I don't know how good the mobile app for android is, but it's not the best for iphone. Discord is still very awesome, and it works on the phone, but it just isn't currently designed in the most slick of ways. It could just be an apple thing, though. I definitely suggest you try it out for yourself, it's free.

Hi I've moved the thread to the OT section with a weeks redirect.

Yep, we Mods use discord as part of the tools to help FD with the forum and I use the Android Version on my Samsung S5. No problems whatsoever, miles better than Skype which we used to use.

The voice function so far seems fine and I use it hands free on my phone when we get together and pick on Zac and Brett at every opportunity we can.

Give it a try and see what you think.

Thanks to all - I now have it running on my Sony Z1 compact, no issues so far. But also haven't tried audio yet.
