Shop around on Inara.cz. Lhs 20 and ohm station in that system offer 15% along with outfitting.

The biggest mistake I've made so far as a new player having bought an Anaconda with less than 500 M CR Asset Value. The price of A/B rated upgrades on these big ships can cost as much as 2-3x the ship itself....so for the Anaconda I'm looking at around 800 M before it has most of the upgrades to be worthy of Engineer mods which I haven't even started yet (pointless).
I've started like a week before 2.1 dropped--unlike the long-time players who had the chance of accumulating a healthy bank balance to finance a fleet of ships--now most of the revenue-making opportunities in an underpowered ship of any kind are pretty difficult to say the least.
I'm assuming you have the necessary Federal rank to buy the Corvette in the first place (Rear Admiral, I think). Good luck and congratulations on your shiny new ship!

The rebuy on my A rated Corvette is 14,519,518 CR.
No doubt, just buying the ship itself is only the beginning. You need about 250 million more than that to really get it up to snuff, but when you do.... WOW!
So, got the Corvette and had a nice BH at a HAZ Res. So far, so good. Managed to kit it out almost fully. Well, not really fully but already a lot of A-rated components. Niiiiiiiiiiice ship!!
Can't wait to play Elite with my Rift and see the size of the ship in VR. So, now I'll have to go and get my Conda for long range trande tours to be able to buy the rest of the equipment.

Now get yourself to the Farseer chick for a FSD range boost and some shield booster enhancements.
Few things I noticed:
military grade armour doubles the price of the ship, but you get away with big shields, shield cell boosters and stuffing every internal below or equal size 5 with HRPs. Adds some nice HP in case those shields ever drop.
Having flown the FAS before really helped with the "weird" hardpoint placement above/below the target horizon.
Engine sounds (except boost, which sounds like an angry vacuum cleaner) are awesome. Turn up ze bass!

Yes, it's great to fly that huge ship. It looks awesome. I keep my Python as well (fully A-rated) as I love the ship. And, ... about welcome to the dark side. First thing I did is choose the pitch black color in the outfitting section. Just looks awesome.
I'll also get the military grade as I want the ship to be 100% mega phat. I'll do some smuggeling runs. Should not take too much time. But I'm down to 40 mio. credits now. So, have to swap the ship and get my Conda out for the trade jobe.
Not sure about which weapons are the best. I think 2 large Cannons for the big H game slots are the best option.
Two large Cannons are terrible. You want two C4 Beams in the Huge slots. Go turreted Kinetic for the rest.

My Anaconda rebuy is over 18M and that's a LYR bought one using Biweave shields and no military plating. What the hell is your Corvette made of?
Hmmm... OK. I run the 2 x Multi C4 also at the moment. But not sure about their effectiveness. I might go for an Extreme Loadout. Saw a funny Xtreme Loadout video from Cornelius Bridis. He cut with the Corvette through big ships in seconds. I like extreme loadouts. Had my Python kitted with 5 x Rail Guns which was pretty good fun.
Alpha tester + 17.125% discount will do like 11mil
