Discoverd a Notable Stellar Phenomena, is it significant though?

So, I've been out exploring and for the first time I saw a Notable Stellar Phenomena in the FSS:

Naturally, I went into it and there's a cloud and these red and purple spikey things that I did composition scans of as well as some mollusc:

I did a forum search and see all these things have been found before in other systems, so I didn't think too much of it. However, this particular system is in the Inner Orion Spur region but is right on the very edge of the Temple region:

It's so close if you go just a single system over you'll end up in the Temple region. How is this significant? Well, it means the USS was more likely manually placed in this system rather than being random. I have no idea what other significance it has though or what you can do with these spikey things. Anyway, I thought I'd post this in case someone brighter than me has some ideas or if people want to go visit the system for themselves. The system is Thraikuae XB-N C23-0.

Unfortunately, it doesn't mean that. Neither that the NSP was manually placed in this system, nor that NSPs are random. Looking up the system's contents (thanks for uploading it!), you must have found some Albulum Gourd Molluscs: unlike most other NSPs, those can spawn all over the Inner Orion Spur region. Take a look at this map. If you wish to know how exactly NSPs spawn, see my guide on them: these molluscs are specifically mentioned there. (There are only four regions where certain NSPs can spawn all over: Inner Orion Spur, Dryman's Point, Sagittarius-Carina Arm and Tenebrae.)

Oh, and you can't do anything with the spiky crystals, but you can at least play around a bit with the molluscs. Larger molluscs (and other life) around nebulae can be sampled with research limpets, these ones are too small for that though. Not that the samples do anything, except sell for a meager amount of credits.

Yeah, that's the one. I tried scooping it bit that didn't work, not that I'd know what to do with it if it had.

Thanks for the reply Marx, I was hoping you would respond being moat knowledgable on these kinds of things.

Yeah, I tend to upload everything now to EDSM as a habit as it makes sense to me to share what's been discovered.

Sorry, I don't know what that is? What do anomalies do?
They are another type of NSP-forming lifeforms(?), like molluscs are. Anomalies are glowing space balls that tend to attack if you get too close. Your NSP can't have contained Anomalies though, because NSPs found to date have only had one type of "dynamic" life, and yours had molluscs.

Oh, and Anomalies are highly localized, generally only appearing in tiny bubbles, except around Colonia: see this map.
