Discovery Scanner Idea: Graphics Then and Now.

With Ody graphical demand has increased. It would be nice to look back at how the gui and graphics have evolved, and how fdev do graphics optimizations (potentially in broad strokes) to make elite playable on as broad a range of hardware as possibly. The game still looks quite good in low or mid settings and this would be an opportunity to point this out as well. (but finding the right balance to give good performance and visuals on low spec hardware is non-trivial and takes time etc.)

Having a section on how the wire frame graphics of Elite 1984 were done (and at least the high level math concepts) would appeal to players of the old game (and remind them elite dangerous exist) that you might want to tempt into getting Ody. The ability to see a thargoid in the flest and possibly shot a thargoid in the face would presumably appeal to a good chuck of Elite 1984 players. Even if they don't follow elite dangerous an article with info on how the 1984 graphics worked might get their attention, and give an opportunity to advertise the new stuff in Ody.
