Today I pose this question.

Which landing pad do you prefer? This naturally means, what kind of ships do you like to fly?

All ship sizes have their merits, and the perfect class for each of us is different.

Me, well, it's no secret that I'm a hardcore small pad dude. For me, the mobility & responsiveness of these boats is just awesome. I've tried flying bigger boats, and while some I respect, such as the Type-Series, I just don't enjoy flying them, which to me, is the most important thing.

Even when I can afford a Python, I won't be flying one. I'll be flying my Cobras, Vipers & even a Sidewinder still. Because they're just more interesting, more character. I feel more of a personal connection with these kinds of boats, then I do in the bigger ships.

As someone who knows a little bit of maritime superstition, that's important.

So dudes & dudettes, what pad do you like?

Discuss it!

One of hell of a Thread title...seeing as I'm here.

Med pad max for me, but I won't go as big as a Python. I have one, but only use it when I need to grind a bit*.

Fas is about as big as I like, but think in Live I'll be running my DBS for combat and Cob M4 for everything else.

*Re-read this, I'm too tired to re-word it but any and all innuendo was unintentional.

My top 5 ship's I like are(in no particular order):

1- Diamondback's(both)

2- Federal Corvette

3- Python

4- Federal Gunship

5- Cobra Mk. III(likely to be replaced by Mk. IV in Horizons)

so guess I'm pretty balanced between liking Small and Medium pad ship's

I have to say large, for the clipper and cutter. I like having a decent size ship because it feels like there is just more breathing room inside the ship, (I know its weird). Plus with a larger ship I can have more space to change out parts for what I need to do. As a bonus I don't have to worry about getting rammed by the crazy AI. AND flying a clipper is kinda like flying a medium ship because it very manoeuvrable compared to some of the big ships. I just cant land at outpost but I'm okay with that, something about trade off's I guess.

I think I'm at home in the medium ships. I love flying small, the DBS being one of my favorites but I like the flexibility of the medium ships. I would like to see a medium imperial ship.

Hard to say.

My favourite ship, purely based on how it flies, is the Cobra Mk3.

My most used ship is my Asp Explorer.

However, I also have a Python, Fer-De-Lance and Anaconda.

Of all the ships I've owned, the T9 was the worst to fly. But I also had a real dislike for the Federal Assault Ship. I think it's just me, as most seem to love it. But I will try it again at some point.

Ultimately, I want to own every ship in the game.

Ladies won't say, but women? Well, given a non-judgemental situation they're all about the....* Oh, sorry, I'll get me coat!
btw Cobra all the way. My wife doesn't complain about that. Much.

*0 out of 10 women questioned had any idea what this weirdo was talking about.

Mid size for me too, but I also own a corvette and an imp courier (for edge of the seat flying lol). The mid size ships are asp x and a FDL. I do want a Cutter eventually but there is no rush.

in my hangar i currently have;

DBs
DBx
Courier
Asp explorer
Clipper - only flown for 2 hours but i worked so hard to get it :(
FDL - just testing this ship out atm which is quite fun tbh but the jump range and fuel tank SUCK.

but i mainly fly the DBx or Courier so i guess small ships i don't really have aspirations for cutters or corvettes but i can't articulate why but M ships are my limit with Clipper as an exception because it's a clipper...

lately i've been looking at FAS / FDS / FGS and all that jazz and wouldn't mind "trying" them but i cba with the rank i don't see them as a long term ship for me as i keep going back to my courier or DBx

The main reason I've haven't been flying one of my big ships in a while is not being able to land on the medium and small pads at outposts.
All the weird and wonderful small station's are one my favourite things in ED I'm still finding ones I've not seen before after buying ED day one of GPP.
