Horizons Discussion on critical missions

Picture the scene : mining void opals quite content when suddenly up 'pops' a critical mission, on checking this It appears some data needs delivery with a reward of 55,800 Cr. Now I ask myself do I take the mission and stop mining ( where I am making approx. 28 million every asteroid I destroy) or do I take the paltry pay-out for 20 minutes work? Honest answers please.
Seriously if missions are to be included like this then at least make them worthwhile even role-play wouldn't see any benefit in taking these missions (and if you reject them they 'pop' up again shortly after.)

leftover code from the times when 60k credits was worth something... (ok never was, but anyway...)

Random missions would need a serious overhaul. At one point the counter-offers you got for Passenger missions to sell them into Slavery were very good (you got several millions offered to do this despicable act). But when the regular missions nowadays pays millions and you get an offer for something around 500k (and that's already the most generous ones) then nobody in their right mind would sacrifice their Reputation with the affiliated Minor factions in question. Even from a RP standpoint there's no way to justify it (unless you come up with a very silly explanation).
