Dishonored 2

Anybody else currently playing Dishonored 2?
I think the first game as well as the second one are beautiful pieces of gaming art.
I love roaming around in those beautiful Victorian styled environments.

Yep picked it up today. It's had a nasty few days since release mostly focusing on problems with the game running poorly. Have to say I've seen none of that personally. All the r3views I've read have praised the game setting, atmosphere and story telling over and above the first one so it's a bit unfortunate that it has had reported problems with performance marring the very positive media reactions.

I have had no problems either. I bought the game at day one. I can run it at ultra setting without problems.

I was always a fan of great steam-punk atmospheres and i will buy it as soon as i have salary i think. I'm not sure if there will ever be a game-of-the-year edition (still waiting for this at Fallout 4 :()
I hope they made it as same great as the previous one. The first didn't had super-duper graphics but the story, the setting and the atmosphere were SO amazing. I really hope they didn't messed up here and give us only eye-cabdy :D

The Dishonored series have a unique art style that forgoes all the flashy and shiny blingbling stuff many games have these days.
I personally feel it is refreshing and it helps to create the awesome atmosphere you are referring to.

Would love to try, but dont dare to risk it. My rig is below min-sys, and the reports of people make me doubt it'll be very forgiving. No demo either AFAIK, and its denuvo-protected. Not going to risk E60 for something that may very well not even launch, never mind work throughout the entire game. :( Have fun guys!

I'm off re-installing Dishonored 1.

First mission - brilliant, Dishonored's back yay! :) Second mission - really weird mouse acceleration, pause - then spin, framerate all over the place, eeek. :(

Hope the forthcoming patch sorts this out, 'cus the sense of place is great.

What is Dishonored about ?

I know, I've been under a rock for a while. But its genuine question..
:)

A Steampunk-ish world that runs on whale oil, with some magic thrown in. The first game's setting is that there's a plague the main character's investigating, he returns and is then framed for the assassination of the empress by some guys who can flip in/out of reality. He escapes prison by help of some loyalists and then needs to find empress's daughter and put things right.

It pretty much goes from there.

Very good game. Art style is fantastic, there are multiple ways of completing missions (all the way from zero-kill ghosting to ourtright massacre), and some very original weapon/movement/combat/magic mechanics.

A nice brief roundup of the game.
I will go look at the game via some vids on YT.
Thanks.

Dishonored is one of my favorite games ever. Been playing Dishonored 2 for a few days and it's magnificent, just what I hoped the sequel would be. I've had very slight performance issues, nothing that matters, just an occasional stutter. Excellent game!

Just felt the need to tell this.
I am now on my second play through of Dishonored 2.
My first run I played Emily and I killed every single creature that stood in my way.
I now play Corvo and am trying to kill as little as possible.

I can't express how much I enjoy this beautiful game. What a magnificent scenery and level construction.
The game world is pure Art and the gameplay is so solidly designed.
The music is awesome too.

I think I have fallen in love with Arkane and their games.
I hope we will get many more Dishonored games.

I also still play the first Dishonored game.

Same, but the other way around :) I'm currently playing my first playthrough as emily and I'm going for the 'clean hands' achievement. Very difficult I know. Requires a lot of reloading, and generally frustrating, but fun nonetheless.

I plan to go carnage on Corvo :D

Check your stats page often. I was doing Emily in stealth mode. I picked up a kill at one point and I have no idea why. Didn't realize it for some time and no I have no valid backups to revert too.

Yeah I do several times during a mission and if I ever get a kill I didn't plan to, I restart the whole mission -_-

That's happened to me before. I use liberal amount of quick saves too.

The only problem with going for this achievement is that you are limited in what you can do - you can't just go around and rewire a wall of light in case some patrolling noob walks into it by accident and BANG! there goes your achievement :)

For some reason I couldn't get this achievment on Dishonored 1. Even though I didn't even kill the witch in that game and never killed anyone. Weird ah well.

I have given up on the achievement.
Too much hassle and I get inexplicable deaths whatever I seem to do.
When I feel like killing I just do. Much more satisfying too. I love the deadly powers.
