Nooooooooo!
I realise that scales of economy dictates pushing a game release to as many formats as possible but damn - Xbox - really? (or any console for that matter).
For years I played Call Of Duty, a PC only game up until COD2 when it got it's first (terrible) port to console. Arguably COD4 was the pinnacle of that franchise with later versions being produced for the console market AND then ported to PC almost as an afterthought along with demise of dedicated servers and the loss of community support that that entailed. The yearly demand for new titles largely from the console community helped to put that franchise in the toilet as the gameplay became about optimisation for the console market.
I am not saying that this will happen with ED but it makes one wonder if the game will end up being dumbed down to allow console players to do well. I assume that the game is going to be cross-platform or am I wrong and the consoles will get their own environment server(in which case no need to worry).
We have waited so long for the PC to come back into it's own both with ED and in years to come Star Citizen...I would hate to see any console jeopardise that rebirth!
