Disneyland expansion

We had several licenced theme packs.

I know Disney these last few years have made several games about their parks, like Disneyland Adventure (developed by Frontier Development and Asobo Studios) or Disney Magic Kingdoms on mobile.

They seem to be capitalizing on their Disneyland brand through video games, they even released a Legacy Collection soundtrack.

So... How cool would it be if Frontier had a partnership with Disney to make a full Disneyland expansion?

It would be like a big DLC with new scenarios, new biomes (the biomes that match their real life counterparts).

It would have special Disney-themed scenery like topiaries, or the Cheshire cat or Mickey made with flowers.
It would have special version of coasters, with blueprints for their iconic attractions of every Disneyland Park in the world.
It would have some iconic attractions, but of course, Disney themed, like the Mad Hatter's teacups, or the Dumbo attraction.

And of course all of this could be used to make our own Disneyland dream Park with our own custom tracks and themes.

I would totally buy that ! Would be amazing ^^

I would give all my Money for this DLC!
Since RCT1 i want to build Disneyland Paris 1:1 but it´s still impossible even in PC :(
Original Biomes fron Disneyland Paris. OMG i think i will die if this will come true! ^^

Disney being Disney, it would probably have to be a $40 DLC to cover the licensing.

That being said, it would be awesome. All the stuff mentioned with a focus on scenery for dark rides.

Yeah I'm not talking about a simple pack, but a full expansion so that's the right price ;)

If Disney assets hit Planet Coaster, I promise I will....

Set the Disney characters on fire
Blow them up with special effects
Slice them up with the swinging blade (there will be blood)
Feed them to the sharks
Squash, shoot, run them over
Cover their corpses in rats

And that's just phase 1.

I loved visiting Disneyland when I was a kid, but my feeling here is that real brands clash with the in-game brands and themes, which are refreshingly *not* real brands.

I never purchased the Back to the Future DLC even though I'm a fan of Back to the Future. This movie is retro 80s, so it's not exactly elbowing princess Amelie out of the way. Disney on the other hand, is a giant. It would stamp its authority in terms of a dominating presence, all under the watchful eye of a team of Disney lawyers.

I support making coasters and rides that are *similar to* Disney rides, but only because the tools are generic enough that you can make Space Mountain or Pirates of... if you choose to.

Nobody would force u to buy the expansion, and nobody would force u to use the assets...
Stop being so salty.

Absolutely great idea!!!
But unfortunately I don't think that this will ever happen. In 2011 Frontier has together with Asobo Studios already developed a Disney themed game named "Disneyland Adventures". The publisher was Mircosoft Studios!

Fair enough, my response was a bit dark probably because of an allergic reaction I have to multinational conglomerates in video games. Disney in particular is so big, it would be difficult for them to exist as a "small DLC" in any game other than their own game. I also question Disney's lobbying for copyright extension, preventing artworks from entering the public domain. I'm referring to the "Mickey Mouse Protection Act", which makes interesting reading.

The rides at DIsneyland are cool, but we can do very similar things now in Planet Coaster without needing a real-life branded pack. I accept a lot of people disagree strongly!

Personally, I don't think we will get anything Disney/Disneyland related DLC wise. The licensing costs would be high and Frontier would need to sell quite a lot of copies (or having it priced higher than the other DLCs) in order to recoup the costs.

Frontier could split the Disneyland things in several parts and sell them in different DLC‘S for a „regular“ DLC price.
But I‘m sure that we had then other discussions about milking the community.
