Yes, like I say, the communications could be better. Galnet is windy, poorly-written and frequently unclear. Proper community goal notifications that don't read like fanfic flavour text would be more useful for most people.

To be honest I like the fanfic type posts. Especially those covering up bugs and accidents like that capital ship vs station issue...
Gives me another reason to read the forums and keep up to date.

Mmm, you could keep your steenkin' fanfic, if at least those posts had a little blue symbol on them to make them stand out from the list, and useful bulletpoints at the top

It is an in game news article. It should read that the way it is as the there is NO community in game but a universal population. It is for immersion factor
I know, I want my merc skin on my python - I think that would look quite nice.
I may be wrong here, but I seem to remember the CG news item having a special asterisk type thing on it. Maybe it was because I was already in close proximity to Diso having been farming an RES in Zaonce to afford my Python. It was even a different color than normal, which was the indicator that I should read it carefully. Does that little icon not show up for everyone? If it doesn't show up everywhere then it certainly should. CG notifiers being a different color, or having a small icon on them to show importance would be sufficient in my opinion.
The Diso CG announcement did have a special icon, and was sticky on the Galnet feed. The follow-up post regarding the global reward did not/was not.
Ah, Rift users currently more or less have to hack their UI (via the config file) to be be green, which screws all sorts of colourscheme finer points up. That might have stopped that from being useful. More fine-grained UI recolouring support would solve a lot of niggling issues- possibly relevant here?

Fair enough. So now I would suggest that it be made more clear exactly what the personal rewards are, and what the global rewards are for each tier in the announcement news item. That seems like a fair way for the news about the CG to reach all players in a timely manner, and be visible enough for most to notice it. Obviously there will still be hurtles, but this would seem like the quickest way to help the most people on this matter.
