In light of the recent findings and statements from Professor Ishmael Palin and Ram Tah, it is perhaps comforting for mankind that the largest military forces of humanity are continuing to establish a presence in the Pleiades. While the Federation has established a new asteroid base amidst the rings of HIP 17692 A4, the Merope Expeditionary Fleet has not been idle. Construction of the Indra finished, and the wells-class carrier is currently in orbit around a high gravity planet in HR 1185, also home to Ceres Tarn and Andraste’s Point. Elsewhere in the region, several commanders are reporting the last message of Salomé, also known as Kahina Tijani Loren. The log can be found in HIP 17519. Back in the core, the East India Company announced a success of their operation to liberate Freeholm in the Artemis system. This former penal colony rose up against the independent government several years ago, going so far as to fight a pitched battle with a Majestic Interdictor supporting the local government. Over the ensuing years, the Artemis Empire Assembly brought stability and Imperial interests to the system, and their administration has now transferred to the East India Company, despite some violent disagreements between the patrons and the ever-expanding Imperial Corporation. Rumors abound of local scientists investigating the possibility of culturing a variety of Kappa Fornacis Onionhead for development in the former penal colony.
The Pilots’ Federation called their temporary safe haven campaigns in LHS 3447, Eravate, and Asellus Primus successful. Another successful galactic appeal came from the People’s Rakapila Progressive Party, who were hoping to improve the economy of Rakapila. Reports indicate that the Pleiades Resource Enterprise has ended their security lockdown, and are again accepting supplies for the construction of a survey outpost in HIP 17692.
Several powers attempted to expand their influence last week, while political and corporate operations under Senator Zemina Torval recovered from the political upheaval of the past month. She was unavailable for comment, as the senator presided over the maiden voyage of the Indra. Dictator Yuri Grom’s battlefleet aided the armed resistance of Katurru, while Utopian forces aided violent protests in Gallavs, and Prime Minister Mahon and the fleet of the Alliance diplomatic arm cleared Olelbis and surrounding systems of bureaucratic blockages. PMCs pledged to President Zachary Hudson successfully increased security operations for the Muncheim Democrats and surrounding systems. However, the charitable forces of the Federal Liberal Party failed to establish a welfare system in any of their three attempts, despite their forces spending the past month securing massive corporate takeovers in the region surrounding HIP 41529.
Not to be defeated, the FLC has once again targeted HIP 41529 Jet Comms Commodities for their corporate-backed welfare state media campaign. With the corporate takeovers in the surrounding region over the past month, another attempt to expand the Liberal Party’s influence in the region will likely succeed. A Liberal Party presence in HIP 41529 will throw three populous systems loyal to the Emperor into contention. In order to prevent this, research suggests that corruption reports be delivered to Puntin, one of the systems which recently saw a hostile corporate takeover. The Puntin Company controls Martinez Port, the first orbital outpost of the system, but the dictator of the New Puntin Party continues to administer the second orbital outpost and Kippax Vision, the planetary outpost. Be careful as you approach Kippax Vision, as there is clear evidence of a new firmware bug in Goliath and Guardian skimmers. They somehow attain over a kilometre of elevation and proceed to fall back to the surface, occasionally torpedoing spaceships on the way down.
Congratulations are due to the combat pilots of ZYADA, IHC, and the Emperor’s personal fleet for last week’s operations against Shadow President Winters. Those were all uphill battles, but every single one of them was won, though it’s believed that Alliance operatives were the primary operators in Maroine. Thankfully, the crime sweeps on behalf of HR 4720 Labour appear to be successful so far, and logistics targets are proceeding well, with only minimal criminal activities outside of the undermining in Cofalyawa. While congratulations are due all around, this weeks suggestions still need completion, so the Emperor’s heavy haulers can focus on the distribution of corruption reports to Puntin.
