As polls closed this morning, the followers of Senator Patreus narrowly edged him out of the bottom three, with an approval rating of 40%, barely above Senator Torval's rating of 38% this week. Prime Minister Mahon and President Hudson swapped places yet again, while the rest of the top five maintained their places, with Aisling Duval, Senator Patreus, and Li Yong-Rui all experiencing a state of unrest. This time, it appears that all three powers have highly populated sectors protesting their rule.
Emperor Lavigny-Duval's political base weathered a political storm last week, with four of the sparsely populated sectors experiencing crippling levels of undermining. A further thirty two were fully fortified with supplies, securing her position in the top three of the galactic poll. Logistics pilots put forth a massive effort over the last three days to secure this result.
While the Emperor's logistics pilots are always important, this week the combat pilots will earn some more glory. While the three powers hostile to the Emperor's cause had twenty-five systems fully undermined, none of them are experiencing crippling protests. All three are leveraging aggressive expansion attempts in systems very near our own control systems.
President Hudson is once again using his private military contractors to run security operations in HIP 44811. Two Federal factions are fighting for control of the system, so it is unclear which faction the President's forces are backing. Since the system is wedged between Ida Dhor and CD-49 3617, it is of great importance that these operations prove unsuccessful, as they were two weeks ago.
The Crime Lord of the Kumo Crew is attempting to expand into LTT 874, which would contest systems from HR 571 and Baal. It is also under twenty light years from Achenar. The local Empire Party is currently forming resistance pockets.
And finally, Shadow President Winters is pushing her liberal agenda in Shenggan. The Federal corporation in control of the system is amenable to the Shadow President's cause, but the rising faction, Balis Patron's Principles, asks for help in disrupting the shipments of liberal aide. If any undermining pilot is searching for an Imperial minor faction with whom to earn a reputation, Balis Patron's Principles might be a good place to look this week.
As for the Emperor's agenda, this week there are six systems with active crime sweeps. According to the Herald's Research Division, if successful, all of them will increase the standing deficit of command capital. Therefore, the only moderately important expansion attempts are the weaponized expansions: Gitse and Mbutsi. LTT 2667 is the closest control system to Gitse, and LHS 1852 is closest to Mbutsi.
Due to the impressive space-trucking completed by commanders pledged to the Emperor, there is a surplus of command capital and a perfect opportunity to extend the duration of our weaponized preparations. The key targets this week are CD-27 5409 and Neali. Check the Herald's preparation recommendations for more information.
Additionally, last week saw the restructuring of one of the Emperor's most loyal minor factions. Lavigny's Legion has elected a new Magister Militum, Commander EtherImp. The Emperor has many groups pledged to her cause, and any reports from these groups will be reported by the Herald.
