The Imperial Inquisition and Imperial commanders are failing to stop Federal expansionism in the Pleiades, though opinions on the homefront cast a different light on the Federation's presence beyond Maia. Protests sound across distant systems pledged to President Hudson and eight populous regions entered a state of turmoil. Private military contractors began conducting security operations in Kutkha on behalf of the Kutkha Federal Interstellar. Felicia Winters and the Liberal Party pursue in-roads towards the good graces of the Progressive Party of HIP 43299. Senator Torval's private security forces failed to secure enough political prisoners from Apurui and now those dissidents are backing protests in the home system of Protectores Zemina Nostri.
Meanwhile, the situation for the Emperor looks deceptively rosy. Forty-nine systems were fortified last week, leading to an excessive surplus of command capital. Research compiled a list of useful candidates for preparation with corruption reports. Populous agricultural systems Laifangyi and Yinjian have strong potential to be great systems for leveraging political will, while Nunuri and HIP 50489 are solid systems for expansion, if they manage to remain at the top of the preparation list. This list is highly subject to change in reaction to developing situations.
Special interest groups secured a garrison of the Shield of Justice serving the Fu Haras Patrons of Law. And this week will see similar interests pushing the non-beneficial government of Purple Allied PLC in Tacahuti.
Refining this week's Preparation list will be a tough task, though logistics CMDRs will need to keep on eye on fortification priorities as well.
