Archaeologists are already developing three dimensional models of the debris, looking for clues to its origin and purpose. Prime Minister Mahon quieted protests in Pongo, with the People's Dharuek Labour democratic government easing the fears of the populace and ensuring Mahon's trade bonuses will remain in system. The Pirate Lord recovered from turmoil after Lusonda, Wadir, and He Xian Gu overthrew the brutal oppression of the Kumo Crew. Elsewhere, four systems in regions recently lost to revolt: Coritab, Darian, Freng and Lunduwalaya have been ceded to the United Research Council.
Last week for the Emperor saw a massive amount of systems fortified, and an unprecedented amount of deficit-causing, sparsely populated systems fortified. Luckily for Research and the (lack of) regions open to expansion, several systems were also undermined, with reports reaching Kamadhenu in the last hours of the cycle. Thus the surplus of command capital available this week is fairly limited, making the preparation of Yinjian the most opportune destination for corruption reports. This agricultural system sits in a densely populated region and will once again throw systems influenced by the Federal Powers into contention: Alpha Fornacis and Ennead.
Special interest groups had their say yet again last week, with four well-covered sectors doubling up their protection from the Shield of Justice at the cost of the Emperor's standing balance and operating costs of command capital. Three of these systems also throw systems influenced by Imperial Senators into contention, to the detriment of all Imperial Powers. With over 62% of 88 control systems fortified, these worthless expansions into Apathaam, Laur, Adan, and Blido Piru could not be prevented, despite extraordinary efforts by loyal Imperial pilots.
This week sees yet another over-lapping sector of protection vying for its needs to be met by Kamadhenu. The expansion into Odins only brings the Odins Empire Party into the fold. Every system within 15Ly of Odins is already covered by the Emperor's influence and the protection of the Shield of Justice.
