The Merope Expeditionary Fleet's call for construction materials was an unmitigated success, and the MEF firmly re-inforced the need to 'oppose the tyrannical'. President Hudson remained in a state of turmoil, losing one system to revolt. The Shadow President's attempt to bribe her way into the good graces of the People's HIP Progressive Party failed due to massive criminal undermining. Neither Aisling Duval nor Senator Zemina Torval expanded their influence last week, though Admiral of the Fleet, Senator Denton Patreus, did. A large amount of garrison supplies were diverted from their intended destinations last week, and five systems have endured reports of massive criminal activity throwing their support of the Emperor into doubt.
The Kalana Independents launched a campaign to provide aide to the refugees from the Mu Koji conflict earlier this month. All supplies should be sold at Bujold Enterprise in Kalana. Shadow President Winters has tasked her pilots to deliver liberal aide packages to Chukchan this week. And for the Emperor this week, special interests are already diverting garrison supplies from destinations where those supplies are needed.
At the end of last week, a massive surge from the logistics division saved an astounding number of sabotaged systems. Five of them were either not worth the effort, or slid under the radar. The saboteurs appear to be subverting two or three systems a day, so it is important for loyal commanders to deliver garrison supplies all week, and not rely on the last minute efforts from dedicated commanders. With protests across five systems, it is very easy to see these events as a bad sign for the Emperor's cause, but it can also be an opportunity.
With just under 9 billion suffering in a state of turmoil, commanders need to leverage this chance with precise and determined fortification targets.
