The Federally-backed democracy has ceded some of its authority to Pranav Antal's Utopia movement, and the Utopians transport political dissidents from the system on a weekly basis. The Green Party created goals for both bounty hunting in system and trading reactive armour, advanced medicines, and battle weapons to Carlisle Station. Be aware that battle weapons are illegal in the system, so you'll have to smuggle them in. System data indicates that the Green Party has opened the black market in defiance of Utopian standard policy to accommodate the delivery of battle weapons. More news arrived last week from the Col 70 Sector: a garbled distress call was broadcast from the permit-locked region. The Federal intelligence community reported that it was likely an older Cobra class spaceship. Two months ago a body was found at the Wreaken Construction site in Col 70 Sector, and back in September, independent commanders reported that Col 70 Sector was the 'zero-point' that analysis of unknown probes indicated.
In political news, Senator Patreus calmed the protests in Contie and secured a respectable surplus of command capital on Wednesday night. The Shadow President's attempt to spend the Liberal Party's way into the pockets of Union of HIP 41529 Future failed due to massive opposition. Sirius Gov's attempt to expand into a new system also met with failure. The Shield of Justice established a garrison in Koine, one of many systems the Empire's 9th Legion administers. However, the Shield's attempt to convince the Workers of Gitse Liberas of the profound corruption in their system authority failed, due to strong showing from the Liberal Party's media campaign in the system.
Despite the strong surplus available for the Emperor to leverage, last week's logistics efforts relied too heavily on a few commanders hauling above their weight, and the attempt to prepare Gitse for expansion was not stronger than the Liberal Party's push. Logistics pilots for the Shield decided that fortification priorities overrode the potential expansion attempt. Research suggests combat targets in Hudson controlled space currently.
Because logistics pilots focused on fortification on Wednesday, results mirrored previous weeks, but if commanders loyal to the Emperor want to continue to expand, they have to assist with both fortification and preparation targets suggested by the research desk. Corruption runs rampant within the Revolutionary Lopocares Liberals government, and its proximity to a couple of Liberal Party administered systems will ensure some political damage for the Shadow President once a garrison is established there.
