Distance from Nav Marker.......

I've been cruising around the edge of explored space in my Long Range Mk III and I've found a number of systems where the interesting stuff is A LONG way from the Nav Marker......In one of them I had to travel 290,000Ls !
Now, when you eventually arrive, you discover the "other star" or, in some cases, the third star in a system.....So.....I was wondering...

Is there any way you can add a new nav marker to avoid the 290,000Ls journey next time?
:D

You can't, in system minijumps isn't implemented

And Nav beacons have absolutely nothing to do with the travel mechanics. Hyperspace locks onto the largest mass in the system and uses the gravity to end the hyperspace jump, which is why you can't just select a random spot in the system to exit. As for super cruise, there is no lock necessary...

Okay.......I did say I want to be able to travel to "the other star"......In which case there is a fair amount of gravity to end the jump.....?

The issue I have is that without being able to travel to the good stuff quickly, there's no point in going to that system......ever.....there are 399,999,999,999,999 others so why would I?

It's much quicker to travel 10Ly and zoom to a station within 1000Ls than it is to try and super-cruise 290,000Ls........And by much quicker, I mean you can do the first trip 4 or 5 times in the same elapsed time........
