[Distant Worlds] Human waste throughout the galaxy.

THIS is Akira's SRV wreckage :D

Day #17

Joy! Another wasteless day!

Just something to show off the Rock-Rats and what we are doing inbetween spotting the waste (Don't worry, there is a shameful Imperial Nav-Beacon in there.)

Thank you all for posting your waste!

Day #18

Nav-Beacon Galore

NavbeaconandELW.jpg
This Nav-Beacon, courtecy of the Federation, was found in Prua Phio RK-V d3-92. Thank you Federation, thank you very much. May you choke on your waste some day.

Please keep fighting the good fight. For a wasteless galaxy tomorrow, we fight today!

I found two wrecks just a few kilometers apart today, on a 2.2G world. The first site, mostly small pieces of burnt metal, contained an occupied escape pod. I picked it up with the intention to bring the lucky soul home after the end of the expedition. Not having a clue as to their identity, I won't unfreeze them before them however, as is of use. I feel a bit sorry for the popsicle-man every time I see my cargo manifest, but hey, who knows if they've not gotten a serious case of space madness ?

The second site was a shredded and burnt hangar. Given the shape and size, I think it may once have been part of an Asp. The 2 SRVs and the few skimmers it contained were scattered around it, half-buried into the ground. There was also an intact black-box that I scanned, but the data was encrypted and unreadable for me. I was however able to attribute the encryption protocol to the Federation.

My current theory is that an exploration Asp suffered some severe damage and tried to perform an emergency landing to perform repairs, but exploded during its descent towards the surface, scattering debris over a large area. The encrypted data and the presence of armed skimmers in the hangar makes me think that this ship could have flown for the Federal organisation that studied the UAs, shuttling them through the bubble in escorted convoys. I think that they were in NGC 6357 to try and find some evidences of alien presence on the ground, akin to the infamous barnacles. Why else would they bring SRVs AND skimmers 8 kylies away from Sol ?

In other news, I have almost left a SRV wreck on a planet myself today. After a few dozen minutes of jumponium-gathering, I recalled my ship ... which landed right at the bottom of a small canyon (although there was plenty of flat terrain right beside me). Since I'm a seriously stupid skilled driver, the occasion was just too good for me, and in an access of space-madness I decided to get down there in a manner that was much more entertaining than the usual, careful, slow and boring way.

Day #19

A failed barbeque.

Ringed SRV.jpg
This wrecked SRV along with a canister of personal weapons and a canister of animal meat, was found in Blae Hypue VN-S d4-21. The personal weapons seemed to have seen lots of use, and the animal-meat was of unknown origin. My conclusion is that this was a wandering wildlife enthusiast, scouring the galaxy for new animals to hunt and eat. He ended his days trying to have a nice barbeque with a stunning view.
Now he is waste.

Be careful using flames inside the SRV. As you might already know, the SRV is fueled by gunpowder and might easily turn you into a burning wreck. If you want to have a barbeque, please do so inside your ship.

Thank you.

These probes seem to be everywhere. Near wp5:

1500 ly to the East and above wp5:
COGb.jpg

to 2000 ly from wp6 at the bottom of the galaxy LYOOKIO RR-W C17-0
DOGb.jpg

They seem to be quite resilient to gravity. Always showing the exact same damage whether it be 0.05g or 2.6g and up. Did some ancient civilization place them everywhere to screw with us. What is this mysterious data package they carry. Who gets this data when it is transferred back in the bubble for a small sum, no questions asked, no answers given.

Day #20

The failed gold digger.

Gold-digger.jpg
This wreckage of an SRV along with 2 canisters of gold was found in Blae Hypue VN-S d4-21. Some surviving documents from the wreckage shows that this vessel belonged to a certain "Kanye".
Such a waste.

Don't drink, drive and/or fly CMDR's. It may not end well.

Day #21

Yet another wreck...

Landing party.jpg
This wreckage of a ship of an unknown type among with some crashed skimmers and two burned out SRV's was found in Blae Hypue VN-S d4-21. To the eagle eyed among you, this is in the same system as has been reported 3 day's in a row now. I thought the explorers of space was far and few inbetween, at least compared to how large the galaxy is. However, with the amount of wrecks found, I find it highly likely that I will encounter some lone explorer out there by chance.

There's a fresh trail of cigarette ends between Shinrarta and the Eta Carinae Nebula if you look hard enough. I tend to vent them via the cargo hatch in batches as I have travelled without an SRV but they should still be floating about.

Day #22

The lost coffee farmer.

Coffee and auto-fabricators.jpg
This wreckage of an SRV was found in Blae Hypue NH-V e2-4. Among the wreckage there was a canister of coffee beans and a canister of auto-fabricators. My conclusion is that this is a lost coffee farmer who sought to set up shop somewhere out here. The gods themselves must know why I found him here, as the planet is barren, atmosphereless and far too hot to do any sort of agricultural work.
This farmer ended his days driving a bit too fast, hit a rock, and promptly exploded. He is now waste.

Safe travels CMDR's.

To me these autofabricators are little scary. Machines that can auto-do things, provided with a ton of coffee... And in other cases provided with a ton of lethal weapons...
Now who scattered all of them in every planet everywhere will stay a mistery I guess, but I fear they become conscious and build an Hive Mind Galactic Autofabricators Empire that stays high with coffee and with an happy mechanical trigger finger...
I think we humans have the right solution for this, already experimented succesfully in the past: BURN THEM BEFORE IT HAPPENS.

Day #23

Galactic powers and their beacons...

Another nav-beacon.jpg
As I am currently transporting myself hastily towards WP 7, I haven't been able to land on any planets. Nevertheless here is one of MANY nav-beacons found in Blae Hypue VN-S d4-21. It seems the galactic powers, yes even the Alliance, has spread these abominations to every planet in the galaxy... I mean... 400 billion star systems, with what's propably trillions of planets. How and when did the human race even manage to produce all of these things? What are they good for? Why are they everywhere?
I swear, the human race is doomed.

Please recycle all your human waste.
Thank you.

Day #23 bis

If there's a Galactic Power...

rCAQZhGl.png

Unfortunately after having lost contact with CMDR Anuranium (3-2-1-Launch me north, him south), I was dragging the Revenant toward WP07 while a distress call from CMDR Micheal Darkmoore came from a lonly NS sytem 400LY nearby: a couple of mats were missing in the last planet he was eating. Upon meeting him on the surface, that mat took hours to reveal itself, and in the meantime:
From my side a Beacon, from the Empire this time. OFC they had to contersomething against the Alliance Beacon.
From Darkmoore side an entire ton of Tea.
The mistery would be intricated, but reality is that the several hundred thousands of CMDRs that have done the route just few weeks ago were really unpolite.

Please recycle all your human waste.
And drink all your tea.
Thank you.

Day #24

Another "unfortunate" hunter.

SRV wpnandmeat.jpg
This wrecked SRV along with a canister of animal meat and personal weapons, was found in Greae Phio QE-Q e5-1011. Once again, this seems to be another hunter who tried to have a barbeque with a view. Someone ought to put a "no open flames" warning inside the SRV.

Safe travels

The closest landable planet to Sag A* has a crashed Nav Beacon, and some Animal Meat. God knows where all the tea has gone !

Day #25

Exploring and exploding

WP7 SRV.jpg
This crashed SRV belonged to yet another distant worlds member and was found next to a cluster of ships in GREAE PHIO LS-L C23-221. Yet again we leave our footprint behind, but this time it is a far from pleasant one. Please, for the sake of the galaxy, be careful.

A clean and green galaxy, free of waste, for a better tomorrow.
