so it's true what they say: taking part in the Distant Worlds Expedition improves your chance of finding Earth-like worlds.
My numbers: since Jan 14, I have discovered 26 non-tagged ELWs, that's 1 per every 115 systems visited. Without any specific routing. This is way better than my previous rate of 1 per every 300 systems visited. Now I can say: only a day with a new ELW is a good exploration day!
This thread is for posting your very own numbers and speculating on the mechanism behind the improved rate.

My own hypothesis: it's the magic aura around our glorious leaders Kim Il Erimus and Kim Jong Kaii ;-).

I wonder if they are more abundant closer to the core. I mean I had my return trip to Sag A* and the clear majority of my ELW findings were on the coreward side of the Norma expanse. DWE has been in the <15k to the core region for the most of the time anyway. :)

I total only 4 undiscovered ELWs to date while on DW expedition.

Whether I get the final tags on them? - maybe not, cos Im not gonna be fast tracking back to the bubble when i reach Beagle Point. So I expect some if not all of them to be claimed by the time I get back.

Any found on the trip back from Beagle, those should be mine.

I was on two for ages, but now have seven. That's with checking every system map. One of those was around a C-N Carbon star, so that made me happy enough to go ELW-less for the forseeable future.
