Just out of curiosity, who in the 1024 cmdrs roster is the oldest participant?
And who the youngest?

Now, i dont want everyone to post your age, im looking for cmdrs of over 50 and less than 18 years old.

I don't mind stating my age: 45. With a 21 year old Russian gymnast wife who used to be an underwear model :) (yeah ok).

A mere 58. Started on the BBC B and can't see why anybody in my age group has any problem with computers, or doesn't play games. I'm retired now and can spend as long as I like online, with holidays and breaks away and cycling severely interfering with gaming!

Wow, kudos to you sir!

Nice to see that gaming isnt just for us who grew up at the golden era of gaming, the 80's. ;)

51 and another of the class of 84 Elite players. I had a BBC Model A which I upgraded the memory to the model B standards - none of these new fangled memory units, it involved pushing the legs of individual ICs into empty sockets! I won a small scholarship in my first year at Uni which had to be spent on something educational: I bought a 12" B&W portable telly to play Elite and Revs on :D

I am 36 soon (so I'm in the least interesting age group), and the original Elite was too slow and complex to bother with at the time - although I really wanted to enjoy it.
But the C64 laid the foundation of my English skills, mainly with Zak McKraken and the Alien Mindbenders (i.e. weak grammar with fairly good vocabulary).

Respect to the senior players!

Ah, the memories... BBC B (boy was that was expensive - and hard to get - bought from Boots the Chemist - Cambridge) - Got a set of analogue joysticks which made docking a breeze (well relatively) - had to replace the fire button as I wore it out! (and still never made it to elite!)

Just turned 49 on the way to waypoint 21, so not over 50 yet, but getting there. I'm also an original Elite vet, though I played on an old PC (being American).
