Im 26 and exactly two months from 27. Would have played the older Elite games but had not heard from it until last year. Currently 10k away from BP at Waypoint 22. :)

I suppose it's time that I admitted to, and apologised for, using a school chum and a tape to tape recorder to access Elite once upon a time. Happy to pay for it now of course :)

I was 35 when I started playing Elite, and DW started on my birthday !

Edit: for Cmdr Whiterose's benefit, that makes me 2 years older than you. (67 in round numbers)

Well, 47 here physically, about 17 mentally, and proud of it. Played Elite back in 84 on the BBC B's at school, then the sequels on PC much later. Been playing ED since beta and still loving it. Out on the ED expedition at the moment, about 2000LY from WP22. I keep having to stop to fill my bourbon glass. Life is hard sometimes ;)

Edit : There's been a few posts like this in the past, and the average age of poll posters was late 30's to mid 40's. These were done nearer the beta, so the age range will have been skewed by people like me wanting to re-live their youthful game days. It's nice to see younger (early 20's and younger) guys and gals coming online. Fly safe o7 :)

51 and a half here. First computer I bought was a BBC B with 5 1/4" floppy drive to play Elite on back in '84.
The views are a lot more spectacular now. And you could simply reload if you blew up back in the day.

42 here. The longer this trip goes on, the more I feel like >100. Felt like <10 when I left...

Oh, man I know what you mean. I was planning on buckyballing back to the fleet in time for BP, but I feel way too old to play for hours on end. My brain actually aches for days just from the level of monotonous concentration required in a 10 hour trip. When I was in my 20s, a 65KLY trip would have been easy in 2-3 days. Now just thinking about it makes my brain hurt in sympathy with my future self.

Be well, and take lots of mental health breaks on the way back! :)[yesnod][noob][where is it]:O[blah][downcast][knocked out]

Oh well, i knew this would come with those options, 2 persons had their fun with the poll..
I seriously doubt that theres 2 cmdrs over 100 years old in DW.. :D

I don't mind stating my age: 45. With a 21 year old Russian gymnast wife who used to be an underwear model :) (yeah ok).

Hahaha.....you know the forum rules......piccy's or it didn't happen!

56.

I used to play Elite on a C64 & played Frontier on an Amiga 500. Between which I played stuff like Dungeon Master, Chaos Strikes Back, Eye of the Beholder, Captive, & others at the time on an Atari ST
