A difficult choice. I quick search failed to find a decent performance of Das Wandern (D795#1) so I settled for Der Wanderer (D493), especially since there is a nice little youtube with Fischer Deskau and Gerald Moore, together with pictures by Caspar David Friedrich. The picure at 3:56 'The wanderer over a sea of fog' is the classic wanderlust picture, often used to decorate Schubert CDs.
