A big thank you to all members of the Flying Circus - jolly good show everyone!
If my count is correct, the final crew for the airshow got less than an hour of actual practice together, so a big kudos to everyone for being sharp and attentive and pulling this off.
- I would like to give a special thanks to Olivia Vespera for her performance as 'XO' at the head of the formation
- also a very special thanks to Wishblend(Daggermark) for taking on the role of communications officer with both grace and effectiveness.
A lot of great videos are now to be found here on the forum, just remember that watching video of a performance can be unforgiving - since you have plenty of time to spot all the minor errors. But overall I think we can allow ourselves to be more than satisfied with the result. Performing a formation flight with a T9, two anacondas and a score of travel weary asps, is a bit like making a ballet with whales and dolphins... Imagine what we could do if we where all flying eagles! We will have to try that once we are back in the bubble…
Even though Erimus was a little late due to the server issues, he managed to put together a short and sweet video with some of the highlights from the closing ceremony. It also includes the closing statements from him and drkaii in case you missed them while doing astronautics

It was a pleasure flying with you - if the occasion presents itself again I will put out a call to reconvene the Flying Circus once we are back in the bubble

Just wanted to hear how many members of the Flying Circus is still around at Beagle Point, and if there is an interest in us offering to "Educate Ed" on formation flying at some point in the near future?
Such a session would be open to other pilots at Beagle Point as well, but I think we need a core of people who have tried it before in order to make it work within the timeframe available (90 minutes live stream).
If there is an interest I will get in touch with FD and try to set it up very soon - before people start departing Beagle Point for real.
