[DISTANT WORLDS] The Fleet Chart

Hmmmm I'm still in, but it says not. Should I be updating something?

i was trying to figure out who's in so i roughly put a threshold of 40%.
if you've made it 40% of the way which is somewhere between wp 11 and 9 then you're likely to still be in the expedition.

do you update edsm?

oh all that other information. i guess i can give you access to it and you can fill it in. and whomever you like.

edit: give it a referesh and now you can edit it.

pulled from EDSM and the official roster.

I don't have the full roster of group E though.
anyone know where it is?

Cool, now we can do attrition rate by ship type. :) Thanks again, that helps a lot!

You should have asked ;)

I am already considering "Hindsight Bias" as one of my future ship names. :)

Just wanted to point out that I checked recently and found that quite a lot of Commanders whom EDSM lists as returned are still along for the ride. Impossible to get hard figures of course, but there are definitely not just a handful. I for example also show up as returned but that's simply because I never got ED Discovery to work and even though I tried to manually update my position in EDSM, it wouldn't work there either. What I'm saying is, rumours of the fleet having shrunk to only 100-200 commanders are likely exaggerated.

I will use the Beagle Point Roll Call thread (that's partly why I maintain it) for one version, and draw data from EDSM and other sources as well. No promises on whether those will be fully annotated, though.

The Fleet One roster (as soon as it's available) will get a dedicated version with names, ship names, roles and arrival dates.

Not sure what you meant cause EDSM only flagged 12 returned ?

Yes, sorry, was a bit unclear the way I wrote it. What I meant is those that track at 0% progress. If you look in the list of expedition members, you'll see that I show up as 0% (#263 in the list) while I'm really at Waypoint 22. Now I don't use EDD since I can't get it to track me and don't quite want to put much time into fixing it, but I did attempt to manually update my position at one of the earlier waypoints and still EDSM doesn't update my position to the progress at that particular waypoint either. Had it done that I'd have manually updated at regular intervals, but as it stands I'll just leave it be.

My point was that if I'm experiencing this kind of difficulty others may very well do so as well. A little while ago I did check about 30 commanders that were at the waypoint at the time and found that quite a few were neither tracked on EDSM nor on the Google sheet, so I'd advise against using either of them for determining how much of the fleet is still along for the ride - we can determine the minimum number, but have no indication of the maximum number.

I understand your point.
I try to manually update things on EDSM based on the Google Sheet, but it is really time consuming, and as you said some commanders never put theirs entries on the sheet or on EDSM.

I cannot force them, but I think our stats might be very close from the reality, and will be more when I run a last check at the end of the expedition.
