Well, I'll initially be setting off clockwise on the way back as that was always my intention and heading down the SC arm may be a nice route but I think I'll be bouncing along behind everyone for some time.

Nice idea though, not sure if I'll be a part of a group though.

The aim is to be totally informal. Group, or no group, stop at a waypoint or don't stop at a waypoint, just to have a list of those going down the arm. This thread can also be used for pics and places of interest.

I am all for going this way too but I intend to break off for the Eta Carinae Nebula and System at some point. There is a no atmosphere planet in Eta Carinae that you can land on and I want to see the sunrise there. :) I did not have Horizons the first time I visited that system. There is also a White Supergiant(X Carinae) in that direction and I want to go looking for WR-25(current record holder for most luminous star in Milky Way) to see if it exists in the game.

Even with those specific personal goals in mind judging by your initial map I could come with the fleet at least 50-60% of the way back before I broke off.

I have added you both. As stated peeling off to do something else is not an issue. No rules, just a bunch of explorers returning back to the bubble looking at others progress in the galmap.

Hmm. I've been thinking about it, but I've come to the conclusion that there are limits to how much endurance I have in a ~25 Ly ship. I'll cover your right flank and take the Scutum-Centaurus arm. (It'll keep all of you on the pilots side, so I can wave across the abyss. :) )

Thanks for adding me. To edit it though, I am not in Kamzel. I was not playing the game at the time this expedition launched and will not be added to the official DWE fleet roster(if I understand Erimus previous post on the matter) until I get to BP with everyone else. Currently I mostly play in Open.

My original plan for return home will take me following Sagittarius Carinii Galaxy Arm so you can add my name on the roster. I will take a two-three week period rest at Beagle Point though once I arrive. At the time of this writting I am on schedule with Distant Worlds, currently landed on WP19 - RENDEZVOUS POINT.

I'm headed back along the Sagittarius/Carina arm, too, so add me to the list.

The FGE expedition along that arm has turned into a long-term mapping mission, so any data we pass along to the FGE would count towards your drink vouchers at the FGE bar in Kippax Ring.

Good luck!. I'm already down Carina arm, but i'm planning to take a detour up Perseus arm for a while. I'll shout you if I find hostile aliens or cheap fish&chips.
