Engineers Distorted shield cycle recordings - PLEASE HELP !!!

I've been doing scans on many vessels in many areas. I've tried conflict zones, Ships in super cruise, Res sites and outside space stations. I do a basic scan where i target the ship and wait until it's fully complete. I must have targets thousands of ships like this since I've started playing the game and I have ZERO distorted shield cycle recordings. what am i missing ? can someone please help me with this ?

Distorted shield cycle recordings can be collected by scanning 'transport/hauling' vessels, so any ship that is configured as a hauler. My most successful approach is scanning Haulers/T-6/T-7/T-9s in Supercruise.
For me, they drop quite often, and I have to discard them regularly.
