So when I'm at a USS in the middle of nowhere getting attacked by a pirate, sooner or later system authorities (assuming there are some) pick up my distress beacon and come to the rescue. That's great.
So how come I never detect other ships' distress calls, only random USS's? Surely this would add a lot of richness to the E: D experience - just imagine a HUMAN player dropping in and saving you from that Pirate Anaconda = friends for life!
Also, NPC distress beacons would be great for those looking for a more 'righteous fight', NPCs under attack could be coded to offer rewards to their rescuers at Distress Beacons.
Come on FD, we need to break up the tedium of only ever seeing USS's. Throw in some Maydays! Let us be a hero now and again.
