Just curious was going to farm some dwe's in a famine system and after checking 15 systems cant find a single one with a distribution center. Has anyone been able to find one since new patch dropped? I am aware they dont appear in every system and you need to be within 1000ls for them to be revealed still cant find any...

Looks like bad luck on your part, I found one in the first famine system I tried.

Found one last night. You have to check ALL factions...if ANY of the lesser factions are in a state of war or civil war it'll negate the presence of the Distribution Centers. This is expected normal behavior.

I wish you guys at FD would play the game and see just how annoying this random value of ZERO/Never gonna find it, is.
Great new engineering system completely nerfed due to not being even given the chance to even scan for the DWE's, lets just waste time fly around and hope we might eventually come across something were looking for.

Having same issue. Overall drop rates seem nerfed for most rare or very rare mats. All my fav places for rares yield almost nothing now.

They are definitely still about. And - just as for 2.3/2.4 - you need to be very careful of the state of the minor factions in the system. Any of those minor factions might have a state that trumps the controlling faction.
That is: If the controlling faction in in Famine, but a minor faction is in Civil War, there is a good chance that the distribution centres will be replaced by conflict zones...

In some systems the DC's are not within the first 1000ls, but there are systems in famine state that have no DC's at all.
I thought DCs were almost never within the first 1000ls? But I may be misremembering. It is certainly population dependent - you need at least 150,000 population, then you need no conflicting states in minor factions [or your odds are drastically reduced] - and even then you still need RNGesus to be on your side - I would say it is at least 50% in your favour if the population is there, and there are no conflicting states.
Not sure if there is any truth to this, but I recall someone saying DC's in Alliance systems or independent systems improves your changes of getting Datamined Wake Exceptions.
I've been farming DWEs in Distro centres anarchy systems (double bonus - mats from the T9s while the limpets gather you scan HWs). Anyway, they are out there - somewhere!
Not entire sure what impact population has on distribution centers. Omly famine system so far I found distribution center was one with only 14k population.
As othrs have said in a roundabout way, the problem is other types of POI 'overwriting' the Distribution Centres. If you don't find one in the first famine, just head to the next famine system.
As to the poster saying DWEs 'galore'(!), lol, I hope that was sarcasm. Expect to spend at least an hour there per 20 ish DWEs.

I have now just jumped to my sixth outbreak system. All I've found so far are systems overwritten with conflict zones and systems with checkpoints and "Debris Fields" but no distribution centers. Lots of debris fields. I've been at this for a while now and I concur that it is unbelievably annoying.
You actually want FDev to code engaging gameplay? Surely you jest sir! ?

This is a good point. I have also found that when jumping into a famine system you may not see a distribution centre, but if you then travel to a distant star or planet, it will appear. They only show when less than 1000Ls away. And of course, not all famine systems have them - but I can usually find one within four or five (sometimes I'm lucky and find one at my first stop, but not often).
