Diverting course to selected destination.

First I will give an example: I've chosen to explore star systems. I set my destination (max 1000Ly). All the jump points in between are selected by the nav computer.

I would like the option to change my path to specific star types along the charted course via drag and drop.
Or possibly a different option to visit desired systems by using a method such as windows uses to select specific files like "control-mouse click".
I could theoretically "control-mouse click" the stars I want to visit and then have the nav computer chart the best course to visit each.

If the above cannot be accomplished, I would like the option to jump to only the star types selected in map view.
Right now, I select a path to a Class-K star, I have to relay jump through brown dwarfs, red dwarfs, T-Tauri, etc. to get to my destination.
It would be nice to jump over the unselected stars (with the exception of exceeding jump distance, or in the path to destination, etc.), so not to be bothered with them.

Thanks.

Very clearly written post.

I don't think drag and drop would be a good idea (think about all the retroactive pathfinding!) but I really like the control click implementation for appending a plotted route.
