Diverting fetch and delivery missions, to OUTPOSTS... while i'm in a conda...

so, i have a problem with the new mission format, specifically one little detail i shall explain..

so, to get reputation in order to order to unlock the high rank assassination missions, i do fetch quests and deliveries for the local factions, so far so good, but then i get a message telling me i have to deliver the batch the next system over.

no problem, i jump there, and i find out that i'm supposed to deliver to an outpost.. the only problem there is that i'm in a bloody anaconda! [mad]
well okay, i can just buy another ship and transfer cargo there thanks to the new cargo transfer
except there is a slight problem..
as you all know, when i try to transfer to a ship, the games only allows it if i can transfer ALL my cargo to that ship cargo hold, the problem is that i have 28 tons of stuff to deliver and that the cheapest ship that has that amount of cargo by default is an ASP explorer, because every ship manufacturer in the galaxy has never heard of the concept of optimisation...
AM I SUPPOSED TO SPEND 6.6MIL FOR A MISSION THAT GIVES ME 400k? what the hell? well okay i can sell the ship back, but i can only sell it back at around 6 mil, that means even while counting the mission reward i'd lose 200k..

that would not be a problem if i could jump out of the conda, outfit a cobra for cargo, and then transfer cargo, or maybe to get the ship default configuration not be so ridiculously inefficient, normally i wouldn't complain about the ship default loadouts, but i do complain now because it would be a solution to my current problem, another solution would be the option to transfer cargo AFTER i finish outfitting my new ship, or simply tell those bloody mission givers to NOT unexpectedly change my course to an outpost i can't bloody land on!

i mean it's just a small thing, but it gets tedious after 10 times! and besides, RP wise, it implies mission givers are either mentally deficient or are just being total jerks.
and please don't tell me i should get a medium sized ship instead of my conda, you don't solve a problem by submitting to it damnit!

Yes, it's annoying.

No, it's not intended behavior and FD are working on it.

No, it's not acceptable that missions went live broken.

The best you can do is eat the stupid fine and rep loss for abandoning and hope this gets fixed soon.

It is a bug. Might be worth reporting it since it hasn't risen to the Known Bugs list, yet.

Until they fix it, abandon those missions or switch to a ship capable of landing at medium pads.

yeah about an hour wasted a few evenings a go allowing myself to trust the new mission outlay and stack some up, the best one was a nice 3m mission down the swanny to collect antiques as they changed the drop-in to an outpost, with a station about 1 minute away from it.

There's me scooting back to change ships and na, cant drop mission cargo. I did have a mildly red face.

Ah, you mean the "Known Issues That We Can Be Bothered To List On The Known Issues List" list? ;) Yeah, it's a little selective is that document. But I guess if they put every acknowledged bug on there it would need a whole sub-forum.

I dream of the day I can select from the missions list without having to mentally pre-filter the ones that won't spawn the correct commodities, or the ones that won't update the mission location correctly, or the ones that might divert me to a location unsuitable for my ship, or the ones that require me to have twice the stated cargo capacity before I can complete them, or the ones...

<Sigh>

Honestly, of all the things I thought would be hot topics after 2.1 went live I certainly did not expect to still be talking about crippling mission bugs, especially after 1.5/2.0 and the unusually long "delay to assure quality." Riiiiight.
