Community Event / Creation DIY controller board for x52 pro

I grew tired of having my X52 not staying in place with the suction cups when I play. So after a short while at the drawing board I came up with a solution to my problem.
The setup had to be sturdy while still looking nice and it needed to be removable when I'd need the desk space for something else.

Looking through the forums at all the nice setups people have made I decided on a design and went with it.

This thing came out nicer than I expected (my building skills aren't exactly the best out there). Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures while making it, but here's a collection of photos of the finished product:

No, that's just plywood cut into shape with some left over furniture parts added for the tablet and cable support.
It's all spray painted.

What is the tablet for? It looks like it might be running an app that provides shortcuts to common actions such as Lights, Landing Gear, etc. If so, did you write the app?

That is Roccat Power-Grid. Application that runs on your PC and your Android/Apple pad or phone that lets you configure the pad/phone to control games. There are loads of ready made setups for Elite: Dangerous available.
Have a look here: Roccat Power-Grid
