Powerplay DIY Powerplay Focused Feedback: Open vs Private/Solo

I kept the most divisive topic for last: should a new Powerplay be Open Only?

I think that Open Play and its implications in terms of outfitting, cooperation etc should be the building stone of anything new that may come as a new Powerplay. Yes, it would be a problem because of how networking works (p2p) but I also believe that it could be mitigated someway by the Devs.

And please guys: let's keep it civil this time. :)

I think you missed a third point: Different in both modes doesn't necessarily mean Open only...
I am not a big fan of the weighted merits between different modes: at the end of the day it will always be more convenient to grind in pvt/solo, and I believe that what Powerplay should offer as a unique and different thing to the game is player interaction. Basically if you do not want player interaction you do not pledge. Game is big and there's plenty of things to do, anyway.
 
The only proposal from me that has Open only in it makes jobs specific to modes.

Powerplay attempts to make thin PvE fit expansive PvE/ PvP and it fails- whats needed is to either make PvE require PvP (or team co-op) because the NPCs are harder, or have solo do one role, and open another (splitting PvP and PvE- solo has beefy PvE with themed missions, Open has the paper thin PvE we have now but with PvP as as well).
