DK2 + 1.6 oculus software (latest from 08/05)

Hello fellow CMDRs,

So yesterday i've decided to take my DK2 out of the box again, i have installed the latest version of the oculus software, i can see the store in the headset perfectly (smooth etc)
How can i make it work in Elite ?

In the options there is only :

- side by side
- anaglymorphsfhdjs (whatever it is it's not this)

but no HMD options, looks like Elite does recognize the DK2.

Any tips to save me from playing on my 27inch screen ?

edit : i have enable "unknown source" in the oculus software (allow apps that have not been reviewed by oculus to run on my rift) but still, no success in the game

I'm having the same problem. I have the Frontier launcher, before I went in game and switched to Oculus mode, now it doesnt work theres only those two options. How did you get it to work ?

You must get rid of all your previous sdk (0.6 / 0.7 etc)
Run CCleaner to delete all files in your registry to be sure
Install the last software from oculus
install steam vr (if already installed try to verify the integrity of your files)
In steam, boot Elite in VR and choose "use steam vr"

Elite should automatically lunch in VR

thanks a lot, I just never messed with CCleaner's registry. How should I proceed for this ?

Forgot to mention, I don't have Elite on steam, I bought it from Frontier so I have it on the frontier launcher

For CCleaner just download it from the editor web site

https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download (it's free)

You might need to add ED to steam as the dk2 works with steam vr, i think you can get the key from your account on frontier website (where you can buy paintjob etc)
