''Amazing Results'' 75hz on a 60hz monitor @ 1920x1080, Runtime 0.8, Windows 10 (But To What End?)
Ok.
I turned off DSR in the nvidia control panel to allow me to make a custom resolution.
Set my resolution to 1280x768
Refresh Rate set to 75Hz
and for the timing i changed from automatic to GTF and saved the custom resolution.
Launched ED while steam VR is active
in game graphics options set 3D to HMD (headphones)
BANG! 75fps, ultra graphic settings, and not a single flicker or judder (until i fist punched the air)
it's not as smooth as it was using the extended mode with the 5 runtime drivers, but the difference is hardly enough to make a fuss over.
As we know 1280x768 is like playing Tetris so i went ahead and done this....

Now i was amazed how well ED runs at max settings, 1920x1080, runtime 8, windows 10...
BUT!
Doing this to my monitor that is only a 60hz by default... I'm not sure how much damage i am doing to it (if any).
It's and old monitor, so i am sure that most of you should not have a problem getting yours to do the same, but i stress to you that i don't know how much damage i am doing to my screen, so don't try it if you are worried about turning you monitor into a cozy indoor christmas fireplace
Maybe some helpful guys on here that know more about this can tell you more if its safe or not.
Like i say, its an old monitor, so i'm going with the motto...

Best of luck People, hope this helps
