DK2 broke

My DK2 started acting up a few (maybe 6 or so?) weeks ago and I procrastinated contacting OR support. My ED time has been greatly reduced due to my laziness and the DK2 popping in and out at the most inopportune times. I finally contacted OR support and I have to say them guys and gals are quick, like awesome quick. I'm really impressed with their support system and the quick responses.

Hopefully I'll soon be back in the void soon, without random catastrophic system failures :D

Sorry to hear about your DK2, but on the other hand it's great to know they are on the ball with their customer service and product support should it ever be required.

What do you mean exactly, the dk2 popping in and out? Ive been having some issues myself in the last couple of weeks.

If you have nvidia and use GeForce experience, try stopping the streamer service as it was crashing for me at startup and unfocused elite every 5 seconds. They've updated it a week ago to fix it but I still disabled it (I don't even have a shield why is that service on?).

Almost certainly a wiring issue... Did you try switching out the HDMI cable for a regular one? Worked for me until oculus sent me a new one.

I had mine replaced after about 6 months, I thnk the Infra Red sensors packed up or something. Very good customer service tho and was replaced after trying a few bits and bobs.

Yes I did. No luck. Weird though, Oculus said that the cables are paired to the headset individually.

Nice! Will they send me new lenses? Mine are getting dust stuck UNDERNEATH them?!

I got a new freakin everything, was shocked at how cool they where. Plus I forget to send my old cables/B cups. They never said a thing about it.

Finally got off my lazy butt and returned the broken DK2. Brand new unit just arrived about an hour ago. Quick test.........all is good!

Damn, I missed my DK2 and ED. Think I'll play Aerosmith's "Back in the saddle" while playing later tonight! :D

P.S.: Didn't realize how much wear and tear I had put on the old DK2 over the last 9-10 months until the new unit arrived...I can see again...WOO HOO!

So you're no longer getting the random disconnect/reconnect issue anymore? Maybe I need to send mine in. I already had to resolder the sync cable connector on the camera... since it was mounted with only the solder connections....

have you noticed that the new cable set is quite a bit longer? I got a new set from OR and they were about 5' longer than the originals..

Cable seems about the same length, to me. No more disconnects! I plan to make good use of it asap. :D

Guys, I notice a couple of you had your rifts replaced. Could anyone tell me the steps they took to get that done? I can't find any "warranty replacement" etc type info on the net. It's obviously (and rightly) well hidden. I'm basically starting to get the exact same issues you are reporting (it doesn't turn on, then when it does through cable trickery it blacks out regularly during gaming sessions)
