DK2 Extreme Bloom/Brighness

I have been playing with DK2 normally for 2 months now and suddenly I get this :

This only happens during loading and ingame. Not in menus and even the options are ok when in game. Oculus demos etc works fine but I get really high brightness (almost the same thing but not that severe) in Assetto Corsa.

I can't figure what is the cause. I thought AMD drivers around 15 /3 was to blame but I just updated to the latest 29/3 and I get the same results.

Any ideas?

How the hell I am going to solve my VR problem if you don't let me link images in the forum. I have extreme brightness , gamma, smearing, I don't know how else to describe it where a simple prn scrn would have explained it better. But noooooo. Nice forums lol .

You have to make a few valid posts before you are trusted with attachments.
No restrictions on attaching pics to tickets though

It is possible to post images in .jpg format. Just do a screen grab by pressing f10 key while in game. Then when out of game convert the file to a jpg using MS paint. Then use the Insert Image tab to place image in a reply post. :)

emmeric, are you using the DK2? Post on the VR forum. I had the exact same issue as you for a few hours, it turned out that the alt tabbing from Assetto Corsa was causing the issue in ED. In the End I did a system restore to the day before.

If all your other VR apps work fine, and the issue is just with ED, your problem should be very east to fix. Post your full setup & ED settings here - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=69

Cant post what I really want to say cos I will get another slapped wrist from the mods....suffice to say everybody else has mentioned the post count.

As others have said we disable links until you have made a few posts.

You could try describing the issue in another, then the links should start working after that.

I know the reason that I can't post links. The system was kind enough to inform me . Thanks for the attack and zero constructive comments . I am very happy that your forum account is allowed to post links. Mine is not.
The thing is, I don't want to be part of this community, all I wanted was a troubleshoot forum where I can post my problem . I couldn't care less about new forum accounts spamming links. I bought this game and I should be able to post links so I can get some level of support.

Anyway, I repaired the game from launcher and my Oculus problem got fixed.

Hey there...if you're looking for help but don't care to be part of a community then you probably should contact support rather than asking a community forum.

That being said, everyone here is friendly and loads of help available. ED rifters are rare and should stick together, Would be great if you could let us know how you fixed your issue, it might be helpful to someone else.

hey OP, the brightness goes up if you are in 60fps

try making sure your Oculus is working properly at 72 or 75 fps

I posted how I fixed my problem in the post above you , 2 hours ago. What is wrong with you people? Can't Read ? No it didn't have to do with Oculus Hz. I have a lousy r9 270 so 60 hz is a must for me. Impossible to get 75 fps with this gpu.

As I said before. OPTIONS ---> Validate Game Files = PROBLEM FIXED.

Emmeric, if can't be civil then only use tickets to raise an issue with ED we do not deserve your frustration it ain't civil, it ain't nice and it ain't friendly.

I don't see any forum rules about that Nightshift. So if you don't like what you read, you can go check another poster who will be more to your liking.
