DK2 sold a week ago. I underestimate the VR depression!

Sold my dk2 on ebay a week ago and made a killing. All to reimburse my preorder for cv1. In my mind this was a great thing as it would help pay for the costs of CV1 and force me to put all my time into game development for mobile platforms and finish a game I have had in the works for 6 months. A great and dandy plan on paper but the past 3 days have been hell. Wanting to badly to jump into my asp and explore.... What the hell have I done. April cant get here fast enough :/

Ouch, was so tempted to do the same with my DK2, but months away from VR on ED, iRacing and Eurotruck and I just couldn't do it. Also to add to your pain, it may be months afterwards before the main titles get the full CV1 support :(

Feel your pain, but glad I have resisted. Worth loosing "some" money on the DK2 holding out.

yeah, I saw $680 and started to pack my DK2.. Then I slowed down long enough to think about the 6 months I'd be without.(mine won't ship till june :( )

I have to admit I find it amusing and depressing at the same time to realize just how addicted to VR I had become.

There's no way would I sell my DK2 I i was without it for more than a couple of days the forum would suffer mass bannings in the VR section.

I sold mine for the Vive that never came. I suffer since October. I am in the first batch of CV1 though!
More than once did i regret selling my DK2 though!

Btw: I haven't played ED since then either. Not even for Horizons. No VR no ED - i simply can't play it without VR anymore.

Just sold my DK2 on ebay, got more than I paid for it, but really should have sold it earlier. TBH mine has been sat in its box since purchase, 5 minutes of fuzzy giddiness was enough for me. Am quite happy to keep with my trackir and wait for reviews of released tech and future pc upgrades before I dip my toe again into the murky waters of VR.

Keeping mine until CV1 arrives at my local post office sometime in April. Nice post OP ! If I had sold mine like you did I would probably be suffering right now... But hey, I still got mine. = Fires up Elite Dangerous and the Saitek X-55 Rhino... Powers on the Rift, here we go... ...

For a lark, I have my dk2 listed for 600.00, just to see what happens.
Will I sell it ....unsure. Debating whether or not to keep it, and get a gtx 970
(currently running 960 4gig). From what I understand, the CV1 isn't that
much a difference to warrant the 600 USD price tag. Only time will tell.
