What's the point of buying DLC when this game cant handle more than 1000 peeps without slowing down your game to a crawl?

I have around 5k and not a big deal. Although I find it super-weird that I get massive lags when I move over to my sci-fi themed area with 2 flats and a dive coaster. Then it gets laggy. Not to mention that this area is one of those people are not interested in, so it´s quite empty...

I have 20k in my almost finished park with immersive scenery that takes up the whole map:D,still runs fine;)

Get a better pc.... i can handle 10 000 easely with 30+ rides and scenery

Have you covered the whole park with these 30 rides and have you themed and layed each area for example laying over paths to create the illusion of them randomly walking across a squared area all this can seriously eat up CPu and graphics when accumulated?

10k? Did you steal a supercomputer from NASA or something? That's impressive.

To a certain degree I get what she is saying as one of my more basic parks had 8,000, 26 rides approx. 90% of the map but no real layering and serious detail (like other parks), still had all bespoke buildings, lots of trees and went as low as 7 FPS all this on a Geforce 650 and intel i5 4 series.

Lagging as if you were intense with the detail and layering this will be drawing off the graphics card more, as for being empty wack in a short duration track ride put scenery around it to get 4/5 stars and put entrance and exit right at the first car at front of station should get the guests buzzing round there.

I call , what are your specs? The limitations are due to dx11 only being able to do as much drawcalls or something. So no matter how good your pc is it wont ever run smooth with 10k guests and 30+ rides unless they upgrade to dx12.

20k guests in a full park and it runs 'fine'

Why do I have so much trouble believing this stuff? I mean I want it to be true but what are your specs?

Is that a thread about DLC's or about how many guests your computer can handle? It's a little unfair to hijack a thread that way.

@Amaurysme2: Maybe you don't know, that Planet Coaster "hadle" any big update as DLC, as you can see on the little pink hint in the top-left corner of the picture in Steam

My bad I was mixing some threads up this morning I open too much at once.

Ontopic:

I do hope we get more good old expansionpacks like Soaked! and Wild! instead of "buy this cool new flatrideride" for this ammount since that's the way alot of games go with these days.

I am excited more content appears to be on the Horizon. I really want to start playing regularly again, but I feel a lack of motivation.
