DLC especulation.

This forum is assuming we get a scenery pack, which is the most likely.

So, yall might be thinking the next pack cold be a temperate pack, and it would be reasonable, if it were not for ONE thing: Scenery. Well, its actually not scenery as a whole, its just building. So you see, in most cases, the building style we get is very obvious (SA gets SA building, Arctic gets Arctic, Europe gets European, etc.), but with temperate there are no good, simple, or normal options.

With the pattern of the packs, you can depict the next dlc:
Winter: Wildcard and/or cold
Spring: Usually includes wet stuff like rainforests
Summer: Heat and/or wildcard
Fall: WIldcard and/or temperate.

So, we can depict the next pack will NOT be tundra pack, so we have eliminated two options, which is not much.

So we realize we cannot pindown a dlc from eliminating options, so lets go by chance, scenery and animal options.

1- Island Pack: Everyone wants it, but there are too many good options for a scenery pack, and i also think it would better for it to be a spring pack.
2- Highlands Pack: It could work, but it is better fit for a winter pack.
3- Aviary Pack: I just hope not, since it would probably mean the end for dlcs (but also it would not be fit for scenery pack as it has no scenery and would need alot of animals)
4- Farm Pack: Solid choice, could add many mechanics and good scenery and animals for a petting zoo. Honestly i think it is the most likely to happen.


Now of course, if you think something different, you could comment it.

Sure there are. The scenery set doesn't need to be immediately obvious (for example, in the Tropical Pack, the architecture is classed as "Indonesian" rather than "Tropical", while in the Twilight Pack, much of the architecture is Romanian despite being referred to as part of a "Twilight" theme), and a theme centred around log cabins, camping, and just a general "rustic" sort of vibe are commonly proposed for a Temperate Pack. This kinda thing:

While it's no guarantee of course, I could definitely see Frontier doing a scenery set like this.

I really see Frontier doing this, but mostly because of a stupid theory I made up when the Arid Animal Pack was first announced.
Basically, it feels like the packs thus far this year have been "sequel" packs of the ones we got in 2021. The Tropical Pack really looks like the piece equivalent of the SEA Animal Pack as the Arid Animal Pack brights its species counterparts of the North African scenery we got out of the Africa pack. I know it's kind of a dumb theory but a set of continentally diverse Temperate species (Tassie devil, wolverine, some kind of pheasant, kiwi,...) plus this kind of scenery pieces would really fits as the aesthetic equivalent of the North America Animal Pack, similar to what the Tropical Pack was. Again, this is just a theory, but if the next pack turns out to be something similar it will end up feeding it.
Personally, I'm looking forward the most for a Islands pack or Marine pack as for pieces packs the most and my beloved Highlands Animal Pack on the other hand. Can't wait for Monday, I have no clue of what Frontier might throw at us.

Well today is Sep 16 and we know we are getting the Oceania Pack. I am guessing Dec will be an animal pack. I am getting something cold weather again since we didn't have one last year.

Cuz i always get everything wrong i think it is probably gonna be a highlands or tundra animal pack (if it ends up being a farm animal pack i am going to commit die)
