Zoo Tycoon DLC/Expansions ideas

OK any hard core zoo tycoon-er will tell you. The DLC/Expansions will be

Marine Mania - A marine themed expansion focused on the aquatic side of life

Dino Digs/Extinct Animals- Jurassic Park expansion basically.

BUT this isnt zoo tycoon 3 this is zoo tycoon so sticking with the rebirth and re imaging of this game I think we should have these dlc PLUS....

Birds of Prey AND Paradise Pack - When I think of this I think of Singapore's award winning bird park at Jurong Hill. The advantage of this pack is it has never been done before so it can be whatever we want it to be. This pack would also be the debut of many a creature in the zoo tycoon universe adding unique colours and experiences. New animals would include

owls, eagles, cassowary, emus, hawks, vultures, horn-bills, macaws, parrots, pelicans, lorikeets, cockatoos, and finally birds of paradise.

This expansion has potential to be as unique as marine mania and twice as colourfull while being bigger than the endangered animals and African adventures expansions

ANY thoughts?

I agree somewhat, I don't want the Dino thing AT ALL. I want real animals. I'd expect the marine animals to be in it from the start, but I suppose it would be a good idea for them to hold stuff like that back for DLC to get some sales cause I'd imagine I'll buy them.

I like the birds idea. This looks like the guest mode will be really detailed so it would make sense to have smaller animals and birds in the game.

Wouldn't mind a zoo keeper mini game either. Like all in 3rd person walking around the zoo and getting objectives to complete like cleaning exhibits etc

Reptiles Pack - new animals should include common green iguanas, Grand Cayman blue iguanas, caiman lizards, Komodo dragons, water monitors, perenties, frilled lizards, bearded dragons, blue-tongued skinks, prehensile-tailed skinks, anacondas, reticulated pythons, Burmese pythons, emerald tree boas, green tree pythons, red-tailed boa constrictors, American alligators, gharials…

Yes, would DLC be avaliable for the 360, or just the one. And if just for the one, how long would the DLC be available for?

If this was a proper edition to the franchise and not just kinect shovelware, I'd buy this expansion just for the perentie. Such a shame these devs won't do this game justice.

We intend to make this a great game and is far from Kinect shovelware. Yes it takes advantage in a fun way of the hardware, but there's much more to the game than that.

No PC version and a bunch of kinect features no one cares about. Yup, thats doing this franchise justice.

Its sad if the 360 version is limited and 50 animal species need to be culled for it to be playable....I dont think we will get any dlc for 360 at least.

Well, I'm gonna bump this because I kinda want to give out my own ideas for DLC:

Dinosaurs-Unlike other animals, which are naturally adopted, dinosaurs have to be cloned, and raised straight from eggs, much like Dinosaur Digs in ZT1. Species include:

Large Theropods (20-30 feet)

-Allosaurus fragilis (25 feet long, Late Jurassic)
-Carnotaurus sastrei (25 feet long, Late Cretaceous)
-Tyrannosaurus rex[/I] (43 feet long, Late Cretaceous)

Small Theropods (10-20 feet long)

-Deinonychus antirrhopus (13 feet long, Early Cretaceous)
-Herrerasaurus ischigualastensis (Anywhere between 10-20 feet long, Late Triassic)
-Oviraptor philoceratops (6-10 feet long, Late Cretaceous)

Horned Dinosaurs

-Pachyrhinosaurus canadensis (20 feet long, Late Cretaceous)
-Styracosaurus albertensis (18 feet long, Late Cretaceous)
-Triceratops horridus (25 feet long, Late Cretaceous)

Hadrosaurs

-Ouranosaurus nigerensis (25 feet long, Middle Cretaceous)
-Parasaurolophus walkeri (30 feet long, Late Cretaceous)

Armored Dinosaurs

-Ankylosaurus magniventris (20-30 feet long, Late Cretaceous)
-Stegosaurus stenops (25 feet long, Late Jurassic)

Tiny Dinosaurs (for mini exhibits)

-Archaeopteryx lithographica (Late Jurassic)
-Compsognathus longipes (Late Jurassic)
-Masiakasaurus knopfleri (Late Cretaceous)

Ice Age Animals include

Mammoth and Mastodon

-American Mastodon
-Columbian Mammoth
-Platybelodon
-Woolly Mammoth

Saber-Tooth predators

-Dinofelis
-Nirmravis
-Smilodon

Ancient Rhinos

-Elasmotherium
-Megacerops
-Woolly Rhinoceros

Terror Birds

-Kelenken
-Phorusrhacos
-Titanis

Attractions

-Aquatic animal facility=Icthyosaurs, Plesiosaurs and Pliosaurs can be viewed here.
-Pterosaur Aviary=Flying reptiles like Tupandactylus, Rhamphorynchus and Pteranodon can be viewed here.
-Resurrection facility=This is where extinct animal DNA can be coded so you can be able to breed your own prehistoric animal.

How to revive

Like in EA, there will be fossils lying around the zoo, and the keeper/player is given the task to sniff them out. Once enough fossils are found, go to the Resurrection facility to piece together the skeleton, and then code the DNA properly.

Dinosaur Exhibits

Since dinosaurs didn't have an environment much like todays in most parts, and the fact that they're gigantic, exhibits will be different. The fences will have to be reinforced wire fences, much like in Jurassic Park (Electric fencing optional). The environment will also be new. The dinosaur exhibits will be something like a mix of conifers, tree ferns, ferns and cycads.

As long as they are new categories or additional members of some of the more diverse catergories (We have enough Giraffes) I'll be fine

I'd love to see bigger zoos!

I love what you are doing with the charitable donations, and raising awareness of breeding programs - anything extra around this would be brilliant! Also love the idea of the community challenges.

Maybe a petting zoo where the guests can enter and play with rabbits, goats etc. Or failing that, farm area with farm animals.

Capybaras - they are so sweet and gentle.

Swimming animals - lions, tigers etc. Underwater displays where you can see penguins, sealions etc.

A cat cafe where guests can stroke cats.

Smaller decorations that can be placed in the little spaces between paths, that take up less zoo limit but give a decent benefit to the decoration need.

Option to turn off challenges (or particular challenges) in challenge mode. Or balancing to make it less regular. They push you to build up your zoo and hit the limit too quickly.

An enclosure that will let you have the 'big five' all in one exhibit. Maybe parks that are country themed.

'Be a Zoo Keeper' experience days that guests can buy. They will then come and help clean the park for a short while. You would have to pay for the advertising and it would increase the fame of your park and make guests happy.

Ways to make rising numbers of guests happy without expanding the park (because of zoo limit).

I would love to see dinos and marine life but would love to have gorillas, cheetah, jaguar, pangolins, pygmy hippo, cougar, bison, spider monkey, wolves, and zebras.

They could have larger versions of mini-exhibits for lemurs, capuchins, sloths, macaws, peafowl, flamingoes, meerkats, mongooses, fosa, binturongs, red pandas, monitor lizards, iguanas, snakes, and tortoises to breed and give birth to young.

I was wondering if dlc is possible on this game due to the engine running the game. I like the game reguardless but I think in Microsoft and Frontiers case it would be a great addition as they will no doubt profit from dlc. I dont think all should be for money but I have no problem paying for dlc. I would like to see more exhibits and mini exhibits if possible and also more animals. If they continue with packs of subspecies they could release a wildabeast, zebra, otter, kangaroo and wallaby, crocodilians, and I think also cheetahs, gorillas, jaguars, and pumas are needed aswell.
