DLC: Extinct animals pack?

Hi Frontier!

I hope that you are all doing very well!

One wish I have for Planet Zoo would be some extinct animals. To avoid having too much overlap with your other games, like JWE, maybe the focus could be a little bit different, like the wholly mammoth, the wholly rhino, the dodo, sabertooth and thylacine. Maybe a scenery pack, with just a few of these iconic extinct animals and some caveman scenery pieces? Maybe this could also be a financially interesting pack to develop?

All the best,

Rather than a DLC, I'd make a complete game about the Cenozoic Era's Megafauna, not including the Holocene period.

In fact, I'm making a list of the animals I would include if they made a game about that geological era.

I'm not personally that interested in it while there are so many cool modern animals missing.

That said, if they were to do that, imo the best case scenario would be "historic" extinctions that have happened since Zoos were a thing?

Something like

  • Dodo
  • Great Auk
  • Thylacine
  • Quagga
  • Moa or Elephant sp.
  • Auroch
  • Chinese Gharial
Exhibit: Golden Toad

My ideal lineup would look something like this (only using species that went extinct in the past 12,000 years)
  • Giant Ground Sloth
  • Woolly Mammoth
  • Great Auk
  • Dodo
  • Thylacine
  • Upland Moa
  • Toxodont

Given it seems less like science fiction these days, it could happen, but I would expect they're covered by JWE3.

Definitely Also need a DireWolf in there as well especially since they are being recreated now
The Colossal labs wolves are pure grey wolves. It's a "Game of Thrones" themed publicity stunt really (George R.R. Martin is an investor, he's even listed as co-author on the paper).

They're pretty keen on making it look like things are further along than they are, both with the wolves and the woolly mice, which is likely to bite them in the long run, assuming the whole thing isn't a scam.
