DLC soon?

I along with many others feel that now the game is in a very playable state and while the returning themes are nice we feel ready for dlc now. The game has seen 4 nearly 5 big updates and most of the bugs have been fixed by the looks of things a lot of people are discussing it on YouTube and behind the scenes and I think we can agree as a community it's finally time for dlc. Definitely starting with new themes.

The next one needs to have both scenery and attractions, especially after the farcical Thrill Seekers pack release.

I have a feeling it'll be a water park DLC though.

I'd like an old gen extreme thrill DLC containing the Premier Rides LIM Shuttle Coaster, Vekoma Flying Dutchman, and Arrow Shuttle Loop.

The first one I want to have sliding stations but knowing Frontier they'd probably make the sliding station the ONLY station available, even though the Mr Freezes are the only ones that actually have it.

Speed The Ride and all of the full circuit versions only have a single station (and I presume any future ones also, should someone somehow want another one) and BatMan and Robin the Chiller has a dual loading station but both sides have separate tracks, making it more like 2 single stations side-by-side than a proper dual-loading station as seen on Flying coasters.

i hope the new dlcs will feature more modern rides. cant come around to feeling like what we have ingame is somehwat of a "classics" ride collection. no shooting rides, no drop tracks on the powered automated ride, no switch tracks on the launch coasters, no shuttle water rides, no launch tracks steeper than 90 degrees, no inversions on the multiverse coaster, no round stations on rapids, no double stations for coasters, lots of funfair flatrides instead of modern themepark flatrides... this is of course only my personal feeling i have about it. most of times i find myself wanting to create stuff like voltron, toutatis or other crazy stuff, and most of times it just isnt possible due to limitations or lack of flexibility when it comes to coaster type selection.

the fact that we can attach scenery to cars offers perfect possibilities to implement stuff like madhouses or flying theatres. thats where the whole potential lies of this feature, yet its been left untouched so far (probably due to priority on bug fixing etc). but yeah i hope frontier realizes that and delivers on that potential :)

EDIT: oh and please frontier, no more ride packs only. i dont wanna buy a pack with only rides. take an example of the first planco game which not only brought in different rides but also combined those with different themes and new building pieces. thats how i wish these dlcs would be. if its gonna be rides only or split up in rides and themes pack than tbh i will most probably pass on them, of course taking into consideration also the pricing.

The spring roadmap is over soon, and because of the summer beginning in June, we should get a summer roadmap (hopefully), and maybe they start with DLCs too. Don’t forget we get a laser/scenery pack next month too.

I am very excited to see what they show us on wednesday.

I'd like this next DLC to be called "Summer Adventures Pack", and it would be a whole lot bigger than Vintage Funfair and Thrill-Seekers, including:
  • A new "Desert" biome for Sandbox mode
  • New blueprints for the Nature and Western themes
  • The "Adventure" and "Pirate" Themes both returning from the original Planet Coaster
  • New Career Mode scenarios, possibly with characters from Planet Zoo
  • Even more new or returning Coaster types such as:
    • Dark Kinetics Suspended Swinging (Steel Hydra)
    • Outamax Launched - Reverse Freefall (In-Descent)
    • Outamax Skate & Surf (Intamin's Surf Rider, Ultra Splash & Ultra Surf models combined into one)
    • Valais & Nidwalden Drop - Narrow (with 6- & 7-seat cars per train)
    • Valais & Nidwalden Wing - Launched (Cloud Runner)
    • Vector Launched - Motorbike (Interceptor/Jixxer)
  • More returning flat rides including:
    • Golden Eagle
    • Round The World
    • Sky Temple
    • Weisshorn
    • Zozo
  • Returning shops:
    • Gulpee Energy
    • Mexelente
    • Missy Good
    • Monsieur Frites
    • Pipshot Smoothies
    • Pipshot Water
    • Tikichiki

The one carnival flatride I want isn't even in the game: The Kamikaze. I know they have a knockoff one (the Insanity) but I think that one's a permanent amusement park ride.

If they ever add double stations, I wouldn't mind them being exclusive to the flying coaster (since those are the primary ones with double stations) and the LIM Shuttle Loop (Mr Freeze has one that loads one train at a time due to being a shuttle coaster). Some parks only actually use one side of the dual loading stations (like the St Louis Mr Freeze) and there are some flying coasters that don't have a dual-loading stations (like the Superman Ultimate Flight clones at Six Flags Great America and Six Flags Great Adventure)

After some spending a good amount of time in the new update, i feel like i couldnt care less about dlc‘s. Still just so many gamebreaking bugs, qol stuff missing and still no real depth to anything related to managing. If they release any kind of dlc the next months then i certainly wont put my money towards it, despite having played 1300 hours so far. I dont need new content when the game is not optimised in the above mentioned points

What are you talking about

What are you talking about
My personal opinion. Is that a problem? Wasnt trying to take away from anyones differing opinion, ive paid attention to word my sentences accordingly :)

If you mean what bugs i am talking about theres a huge list weve been posting on steam. And also many threads here where we discussed some issues :)

Some of these issues could also be caused by hardware. If your PC doesn't meet the minimum requirements you can easily get crashes I learned that the hard way when I first built my PC for planet coaster 1 and planet zoo. The games ran but not without lagging and crashes. After the upgrades I made the games are running very smoothly. So if we're 4 updates in and that's not enough I'm thinking it could be a hardware issue. There is only one visual bug I'm noticing that's not nessicarly game breaking but can be a nuisance. Other than that PlanCo2 is running fine for me. But again everyone has different computers or platforms

Its not my pc. Ive once had a crashing issue so frontier themself looked into my dxdiag and said everything is fine :) crashing was related to custom media but that got fixed with update 3. please stop trying to frame these issues as „you“ problem or „hardware“ problems. Thats not fair!
Im running an i9 and a 4090 lol. Im so skyhigh above the minimum requirements just so you know ✌🏽

Ok well then I would recommend posting the bugs you find on the issue tracker so frontier is more aware of them. They don't always pay attention to what's on steam so the bugs you're seeing might not get fix if they're not meantioned here

Sorry but i am with Danny on this discussion :O

I sometimes get called out for defending frontier, maybe i see a lot of things too optimistic or i have a bit more patience, but denying bugs and just pointing out the issue tracker is a bit tone deaf for this forum, no offence, but they dropped an update which did a lot of good stuff, but right now i for example have one tv i can't mute forever, so everytime i load it, i need to toggle the mute back on, i can't close one park and my coaster in franchise mode drops between classic and old everytime i load the game, all reported and fixed bugs that were either reintroduced or not fixed at all........

Well 'the community' may not all agree with you, so please don't assume that they do. I don't. And I've been part of the community since RCT1 first came out.

I paid for the last DLC and have yet to play the game much other than opening it to see what's new because of the MANY bugs that remain and other issues like water textures haven't been addressed.. Those things don't bother everyone, and that's perfectly fine if they don't matter to the way you play - that's great. But others in 'the community' expect more from this game, which is also perfectly fine.

Until the game is in a better state I won't be buying more DLC.
