Do any Commanders remember this from early days?

What I'm looking for is any early way-back-when commanders having a screen shot of.......

It was an anomaly from the land height code that threw up a strange kilometers high 'obelisk' that you could land your ship on... and of course; 'base jump' off.

Do any commanders have a screenshot of said colossal pillar-in-the sky, that they can post here? o7

Odyssey changed a lot of the terrain gen. In general it'd flatten these peculiarities out. There used to be a list of peculiar places to visit but I couldn't dig these up right now. Prolly only viable for legacy.
Players dug up a huge crater with steep cliffs recently right "at home". We had a series of screenshots and some exchange about such anomlies. @Alec Turner made a couple of videos of "endless" falls down the slope of it and he's very experienced in "special places".

I still like to log into the Legacy Horizons client on occasion and fly around in space, remembering times when you could see the space dust and there was more interesting variation in colors, especially as you got further away from the primary star. Space looked better back then.

I remember there used to be a mountain on some planet, you could take an SRV to the top of the mountain and then boost into space.
You had no control of the SRV in space and would just keep floating further and further from the planet.
sorry, I don't have any screenshots of it, but I'm sure there's still a couple videos about it out there.

Mt Neverest;

Mount Neverest is located inside The Bubble on the planet Nervi 3 A. Prior to version 2.2, the mountain extended over 50 km (31 miles) off the surface, which meant that pilots could fly through the central peak in supercruise.
