I've been through them occasionally but never stayed long.
I plan to visit Azeban someday again. And LHS 3262 - best beta trading route and they sold me my first Anaconda back then. It came for less than 7m credits

I think it would be cool if those areas were used as stepping stones in some way for new players.

You were the first PC piloted Asp I encountered back in Gamma. You blew my Viper up as I was leaving Freeport! I had a total Voiceattack failure and couldn't activate Silent running.
Good times indeed.
I actually like it that they're not.
I visited the area for the first time since beta recently, to try my fdl in a conflict zone nearby. The memories came flooding back when I just had to dock in Aulin Enterprise.
I didn't even realise where it was until I plotted the route and recognised a couple system names.
It's ours, the beta testers. And I kind of like it that way.

Been there for a couple of weeks untill a few days ago.
The whole area seems to have fallen asleep, but it's still visited by cmdrs on occasion.
Yeah, brought back some nice beta memories.
LP 98-132 was quiet too...but I left one of my ships in Freeport, as I will go back there from time to time.
When I was there, a few players tried to end the anarchy in the system (in favor of a faction from Styx), but that seems to be a thing from the past now.
Did some bounty hunting at the RES near Dahan3, as it's located well above the asteroid rings, instead of inside.
