Newcomer / Intro Do BB trade missions count towards your trade rank?

Am i wasting my time doing BB trade missions if I want to improve my trade rank?
I use them to increase my cashflow with a small hull but my trade rank just doesn't seem to be moving.

AFAIK it's strictly a numbers game. You gain trade rank by the amount of profit you've gained. You need to have earned over a billion credits to reach Elite IIRC. I don't think the profit from BB missions would move you up much after the first couple of ranks.

Yes he is correct you need a billion credits in profit to reach Elite rank in Trading.

Any trade that shows a profit must help with the rank, so BB mission or not, it all counts. I find BB trade missions can give amazing returns (far better than any normal trade of the same goods/quantity).

And the progression through ranks has to be a long-term goal, can't have everyone becoming "Elite" within five minutes, can we?!
