Do Chemical Storage Unit even exist? (Special Effect Material)

Kind of related to my other thread but if Engineer Special Effects don't carry over from the old system I'm going to need Chemical Storage Units for the Corrosive special on my Multi's.

Except they don't even show up as 0/100 etc in my materials tab?

Do they even exist in game, if so where????

I just traded some at the chappy in the station and of course they have now appeared.

They're listed as 'Very Common,' which means if you absolutely can't find them, you should be able to get them cheap from a Material Trader.

If you have something rare that you have an excess of, you could probably trade 1 or 2 of those for tons of the Very Common item. The Material Trader really seems to work best for things like this as opposed to trying to use it for rare materials.

Believe it or not - never ran over these in the past.

And today I found the first one in an Encoded Emissions USS.
Wasn't even aware these exist.
So I have now three...

I think they are a new thing. I got them from killing haulage PP ships. they probably drop from non-pp haulage ships too though.

They were removed because they were never used in the original engineer blueprints. Seems they're making a comeback. Also saw some crystal shards today.

Yeah, I found some last night while scavenging USS in anarchy. I was just out looking for salvage. Can't remember what type of USS. Could have been anything.

For something listed as "very common" these are quite possible one of the rarest things in the game. I can't seem to find them anywhere (including Dav's)

Spent a reasonable amount of time at Dav's Hope yesterday didn't come across the chem storage.

As someone else said, easily traded for. Best to spend time looking for the high end materials and trade down.

For the time being, I'm picking up everything I find to fill out the caps of the common stuff and then lock them out.

Got my first and only one either at Dav's or at an ESS. I picked up a crystal shard at Dav's so you'll get some random "new" stuff there.

I am actually quite extatic about new mission rewards. I didn't have to visit USS since. I like doing missions and my mats inventory is almost full (save a couple of specific ones) just from that. :)
