Do Elite Passenger Missions still advance Exploration Rank?

I just turned in 11 million in elite passenger missions (the ones with the little crown thingie) and my 39% Pioneer rank did not budge. I logged out and in, not a single percent bump.

Are these missions no longer contributing to explo rank?

I just turned in another 11 million and the percent ticked up 1%. 20 ish million for 1% seems very slow...

Yes, very, very slowly. You're right on the money, ~18 million for 1% last I checked. If you're just going for rank, it's much better to actually explore.

Passenger sightseeing missions count toward exploration.

Passenger delivery missions count towards trade.
