Engineers Do engineers need to invite you? Or can you just go to their location?

As the le states, on the right hand panel under status/view engineers you can see "Known Engineers". This panel shows their locations and requirements to unlock them.

There are many posts now showing info on other engineers and their locations. Can I just go there and bring the required materials and unlock them without being invited? Or seeing them in the "engineers panel"?

For example Prof (engineer) Palin is in the Maia system on A3 planet. I believe the requirement is supposed to be several tons of Iron. Has anyone unlocked him yet? Did you need an invitation?

You *can* just go to their location, but in that case it's treated as trespassing and they will open fire. So in order to not be killed, yes, you need an invite.
