Do exhibits need to connect to paths for keepers?

I'm trying to build an indoor exhibit with multiple exhibits next to each other, but the path will only connect to one of them for some reason. I know the guests can see the exhibit but will the keepers be able to get to it?

You could try if you can place a Staff Path on the other Side if that shouldn't ruin your Design somehow

Turns out the paths don’t need to connect, so all good.

No, but it needs to be within 2m. I've made a few raised exhibits with no paths and keepers seem to get to them fine.
