I have never done that. The guests just enjoy seeing nice scenery and animals. And they recover their energy.
Speakers would annoy and stress a lot of the animals. Plus you would need to have electricity for your signs, which could become a problem in larger habitats. Signs would also destroy the illusion of being somewhere in the natural habitat of the animals. And the tour vehicles, even at very slow speeds, would pass the signs too quickly for the guests to read them.
Speakers have no negative affect on the animals, so one can place them around in the enclosure if they want and have energy reaching them. Would only be a benefit with no downside. I personally like the idea of the guests hearing info about the animal while on the ride. Would be better of you could add speaker functions to the ride itself.
Ooh I like that ideas as some sort of upgrade in the research tree.
As far as I know speakers do affect animals. Especially shy animals can get stressed out rather easily if close to a loud speaker.Speakers have no negative affect on the animals, so one can place them around in the enclosure if they want and have energy reaching them. Why would it make placing them impossible? You know you can adjust their range so that they only cover the path, right? They don't. Otherwise it would make placing them impossible. They only affect guests. You can put a hundred speakers in an enclosure with shy animals and they will be fine if there is one sided glass.
A Shame though we can't put a Speaker directly into the Vehiclefor anyone who finds this post like I did - I confirmed today that speakers do benefit riders, and the riders benefit a LOT. I set up a jeep ride with 4 animals in a large enclosure, the ride passing through it. I put speakers along the whole path, alternating species. After passing only 3 of the speakers one of the riders had a +8% increase to their education score in their visitor overview. the animals are not bothered.
